I did competitive bidding and picked up the car yesterday. My drive out price for the Fit Sport Auto with Navi was $20,014. This include 7% tax, registration, and all fees.

I ended up making the purchase from Team Honda in Lithia Spring, GA and posted about my experience in the Dealer Reviews topic.

2009 Honda Fit Sport w/ Navi, Blue Sensation Pearl. MSRP was $19,630, Invoice was $18,947. Negotiated price $19,100. Doc fee was $152, Tax (based on net price after trade-in) was $611, license/title was $105. Total OTD price $19,968 (included wheel locks).

I used the spreadsheet from http://www.carbuyingtips.com and offered the dealer a fair profit of about 4% over the dealer's actual cost (not invoice). This is my third Honda, and the third time I bought from William Manning at Brad Barker Honda in Bloomington, IL. Even though there is a Honda dealer here in Springfield, I choose to drive 60 miles, because I trust the salesman there. Great deal, great car! The salesman delivered it to my house 3 weeks ago tomorrow, and I absolutely love it!

Silver 2009 Sport A/T $16,353 + $400 (alarm) + T/T = $18,676 OTD ($USD)

Includes wheel locks, rear cargo mat, Karr alarm installed

This is in Taxifornia (USA) just before the car tax was doubled.

Weird, Honda site says $23,412.47 for yours (this without adding the package assuming you got it free).

Here in Québec, when I asked it we can haggle a bit he said not really. How come you can get 1500$ below?

True, website says 17380$ but OTD with taxes and all is 21,119.70$. How come you got 2K$ below? Dealer in Québec says they cannot move and that I may save 50 cents going from one dealer to another.

$16,800 '09 Sport AT (wife doesn't drive stick and I didn't want to teach her on a new car ). Taxes and tags brought it to $18 and a little change. Got it in black and they drove it to me.

I just picked up my 09 Fit Sport last night in Atlanta and very happy - and this is coming form an ex-e39 owner with about 320hp.

Props to Curry Honda for a great team and experience. All done via email and internet.

Crystal Black 2009 Sport M/T without nav.

$15,326 + T/T = $17,100 OTD ($USD)
This Included the real-deal Fit Floor mats.

Still cannot believe I got it for this price.

I got my Tidewater Blue Fit Sport A/T '09 (without Nav) for $18,000 USD out the door.

It seems a lot of you got better deals, getting floor mats or other things thrown in too. But I'm really just happy to have the car, so I can't be picky.

My 09 TW fit sport m/t was right at 20,000 with all season mats, fabric and paint care, interior illumination, cargo tray, and all fees and taxes. since late april when i've got it i've already dropped almost another 2 grand though and i'm sure will end up spending plenty more

I think the ideal way to go about buying a Fit (or any car for that matter) is to buy it without factoring in any added cost for accessories - especially if you are financing the car. Buy it bare and accessorize on the side as much as you can. Even at 5% APR for a $200 accessory item over 48-60 months is just crazy.

Quite Happy

I paid $18,500.01 USD Out the Door for a 09 FIT Sport ORM AT. That comes out to 17,030 or a little more than $100 below invoice. I was very happy with myself for shopping around. Valley Honda in Aurora, IL was the cheapest out of 10 or so dealers so I have to give em some credit.

Your home state would tax you once you bring it back and try to register it.

No free lunch!
