Put a deposit down on a 09 Fit Sport Auto/nav in tidewater blue. $18847 (including destination) Waiting for the final rules for the cash for clunkers program (trading in a 1991 Cadillac should get the $4500 max off!!). Hope to pick it up on July 24th. Dealer quoted me $319 for the armrest installed.
Gonna see if i can get a better quote w/ the Costco program.

Honda of Oakland is THE SHIT! That's where I got my fit. Best car purchase ever. Will actually be buying a civic as well hopefully before the end of the month there as well. PSC has killer deals, and they don't dick you at all. You tell them what you want, and they get it, at a great price. I just referred a friend who got F'd over by a dealership, and when his deal fell through he picked up an 09 Si Coupe in Gunmetal, which are really hard to get a hold of, and they hooked him up as well. Anyone buying a honda should seriously hit them up. Perhaps the most stand-up Honda dealer I have ever dealt with, and I have worked car dealers my whole life. And driving down from the north bay is a lil over an hour, makin the trip from San Diego is hardcore, but seriously, well worth it. Anyone in the bay, seriously, Honda of Oakland.

Got a Fit Sport w/ Nav for $18,200 ($30 above invoice/destination fee) in Boston. So, basically, they made the holdback and everyone's happy. Of course since I wanted a stick I have to wait for them to find out what color(s) they can get... got my fingers crossed for Blackberry Pearl!

Brand new to the forum here. Just put a deposit down on a SSM Auto Sport to hold for Friday for the CARS rebate... I really loved the Orange Revolution in overcast lighting or rainy weather when it's all desaturated, but when the sun comes out that fiery tangerine scares me. The blue is damned beautiful in any lighting, but i'm just not a blue type person. It was an excruciating decision.

Anyway, according to my buyers order it's $17,803 out the door, with all-season floor mats, wheel locks, and a cargo net. The salesman also said he'd get pinstripes thrown in too... but after going back tonight and comparing pinstripes with my no-pinstripes, I'm going to call and ixnay those early tomorrow and see if I can get a deal on door visors. He told me $105 before.

Looking forward to Friday...

Brand new to this forum as well! Just brought home my white fit sport auto tonight! got mine OTD $16,610 with wheel locks, floor mats, trunk tray, and rear bumper applique! HOWEVER that was with the cash for clunkers ($4500 rebate from the government ) Also the financial manager threw in a $100 gift card for service or honda parts and he gave us 120,000 mile or 8 year warranty for $1,297. Thanks, I worked for it. I had 8 local dealers (100 mile radius) price matching. Ended up getting the color I wanted (black) at a good price, so I'm happy.

Today I picked up a 2009 Fit Sport A/T w/ Navi.

Bought her for $18,687 (destination included), and it cost $20,880 out the door after taxes/registration fees. Lowest price I found in SoCal.

I also got some Honda Fit floormats and Honda wheel locks included, free of charge.

Bought it from Steve Chaney at Weseloh Honda in San Juan Capistrano, CA.

Got quoted for $17800 for Sport Manual with Nav but decided to just go without Nav at $16100.

Wow, how did you get that price? I called eight different dealerships today asking for that amount and they all said they wouldn't make any money if they went that low. (the best I was offered was 17,820 so I haven't bought yet). If you have any good negotiating tips I would really appreciate it!

$12,500 on a Fit Sport OR MT - (includes taxes and everything) - that's after the cash for clunkers.

It sounded like a good deal to me. I didn't ask for any free options. And I think I'm going to get the Extended warranty - I drive between 40k to 55k per year.

2009 Honda Fit Sport Auto

Here's the GREAT deal I just got tonight on my 2009 Honda Fit Sport auto

$16,479.00 Purchase price INCLUDING destination charges
$ 151.65 Doc preparation fee
$ 896.00 Sales tax
$ 81.00 Title and plate transfer fees
$ 799.00 6 year/120k mile/$0 deductible HondaCare warranty
$ 25.00 Illinois fee

$18,431.65 Total cost

-$4501.00 Cash for clunkers money

$13,930.65 Total financed at 4.44% for 60 Months

$259.32 monthly payment for 60 months

Oh yeah.....the dealer also threw in floor mats, wheel locks, and a cargo tray. Not big expensive stuff but $72, $75, and $35 totalling another $182 (at College Hills Honda prices, which are low).

My purchase price was $732 UNDER invoice (not even counting the floor mats, cargo tray, or wheel locks) according to Edmunds who lists an invoice price (including destination charges) of $17,211

NOT BAD I think!

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!
