I paid $55 "documentation fee" to the dealer, the rest went to the state.
In WA I paid $150 for the dealership to rustle the paperwork. I assumed that was to process the license and title, and perhaps to set up the financing. I was not too offended by this as the dealer had a good price on my car. My Sport/auto with no options was $16,955, so the OTD price still ended up being near $19k because of the sales tax. Can't be helped, but considering the other dealers were trying to get MSRP + 2k, I thought it was pretty good. ck42's price was about as good as it gets right now. Is the low financing still available ?

I'd buy a new one for just a couple large more. If you take the 17,500 I paid, minus about 1k for auto, you should not pay more than 16,500. (plus tax and fees...the fees are negotiable, at least here)

I paid $16839 for an A/T sport at Regal Honda in Lakeland,Fl. After TTL and dealer fees, it was $18,425 I live in Ft. Lauderdale, but went to Lakeland because no one I spoke to locally in South Fl was able to come close to this price.

2010 Fit Sport with 3M Clear Bra
$20,400 (no sales tax) cash - obviously Alaska prices are a wee high, eh?

2 miles on the odometer. Put a reserve / deposit on it the day before it was built.

Hey, another American international location! (At least, that's what those in the Lesser 48 think of us.) I guess the abbreviations AK and HI can be described as, "AK! What's with these prices? ", and, "Them prices are HI! "

Do you have sales tax in your area? Your price sounds right in line with mine.

Sales tax in Hawaii is 4.721%.. Well the cars have to travel from Japan -> U.S., Hawaii being in the middle, we should incur the LEAST amount of shipping right? No.

Are you paying cash w/o financing? What is your financing rate so you need to figure those costs into the total price paid.

I bought my 2010 fit A/T sport with navigation, door visors, ambient lighting. Color is white for 18,345 out the door and after a 2005 Dodge Stratus with 78,000 mile trade.

Hey Guys, first post. I'm trying to buy a Fit Sport M/T and this is what the dealer is telling me...I feel like I'm getting ripped.

Base Price $15,829.00
Destination $710.00
Selling Price $16,539.00
Administration Fee $598.00
Sub Total $17,137.00
Tax 7.00% $1,199.59
Title $19.00
Lemon Law $3.00
Drive Out $18,358.59

This is much higher than what I'm seeing from you guys...unless you're not including tax or something. Thanks for any input.
