Just curious, and this goes for anyone who cares to chime in, how much was the initial offer the dealer gave? I really hope I can get as low as $17200...
My wife and I just got ourselves a 2008 Fit yesterday. Its mainly her car, well it is, since she will be driving it 99% of the time. We got it for $9,250 with 15k miles. Now I want to sell my car to get a Fit as well lol.

yeah the sport is way overrated
the sport looks a tad ghetto with the spoiler
it will just cost you more cash down the road with problems
just my opinion

Overrated? I really would like to pay even more you pay for a Fit in USA.
What do you think about paying $31,000 dollars for a manual transmission 1.3 Fit with no maitenance minder; no digital A/C; no GPS (just 1DIN radio/CD); no tire pressure sensor; only 2 air bags (driver and passenger), no VSA (Vehicle Stability Assist), and much more NO's. That's my Fit.
The top version can reach $40,000 dollars here, but you will only get digital A/C, A/T, 1.5 engine, side mirror turn lights, leather seats, 16" wheels, radio/cd integrated into panel, Wheel controls (cruise, etc), fog lights.
That's what we get here in Brazil for the Honda Fit.

Is it just me or does it seem like some of the OTD prices people are quoting here don't seem to include tax/fees? Maybe the dealerships around here are just jerks, but I can't seem to get anyone to want to sell me a Fit Sport AT for anything less than about 19k when all the taxes and fees are factored in.

$17,600 - Price of car
$18,250 - After registration/delivery/whatever fees
+$1,750 - tax
=
$20,000
-$4,500 - Cash for Clunkers
$15,500 out the door.
It's funny. When I was doing my calculations on what I could negotiate down to, I totally forgot about fees and tax, so I was expecting to pay around $1300. Needless to say I was pretty humbled about my preparation.

I'm paying $15,130 for a BSP Fit base M/T, tax is like $1400 or so on that.. figured that's a good deal for around here. No other dealer was less than $16 for a base
Waiting on my dealership to pick the car up and bring it down.. they had to get it from Seattle but I got the color I wanted and it didn't have any dealer options installed
I'm also financing $0 down with 3.9% for 60 months through Honda.. can't complain at all, I only have a couple years of credit history with a used car loan. My objective is to pay it off a year or two early depending on finances as there is no prepayment penalty.
