Tailight tint?
Ya they are kind of dark in the day but i think the law in az is that the lights have to be seen for over 100ft. which you can see. but it still is kind of dark in the day time. I havent been pulled over yet... knock on wood... but i like the way they look. also if you get rear ended its the driver behind you at fault. whether brake lights are working or not. they should have been following so close. but you also dont want your car to be hurt either.
I have lived all over the world and the drivers here are as bad as any, if not worse. Use safe following distances behind a vehicle and you are asking to be cut off in traffic. Any more than a Smart car length and they will try the squeeze. Now when it snows and gets icy this is a hoot to watch.
Frankly if I could have brighter and better brake lights I would, MB now has flashing rear brake lights in Europe and now the USA. When stopping they save anywhere from 6-40 plus extra feet of reaction time for the vehicle following. All about reaction time. We in NA are really in the dark ages as far as lighting and safety go with vehicles.
Get behind a new Cadillac in the evening, watch him brake and it is almost overwhelming the light volume coming off the rear. Maybe GM has something to fall back on light technology wise?
Thanks for the heads up on the rear end collision legalities. Good to know.

I used 3 coats of Leyland light smoke transparent. Allow to dry between coat. After about 2 days use T-Cut to polish them in and make them slightly lighter if needed.
