s204 lip

this is the guy I got mine from. It comes with 6 really big nuts and bolts and about 6 self-tapping screws. I took a big ol' drill bit and punched holes through both the lip and bottom of the bumper for the nuts/bolts and used the screws in between where i thought it could use a little reinforcement. I should have taken pictures, but i was in a hurry.

side note: the s204 lip is much longer than our fit bumper. you will have to cut about 5-6 inches off both ends. I used a dremel after it was already mounted to my bumper. there might be a better way, but i think it looks pretty good. Also, you're gonna wanna spray the lip with something. (i.e. spray paint, plastidip or truck bed liner)

I notice it was much larger then I suspected when it arrived I put it under the bumper. Mine did not come with hardware. I have also been looking at 90-99 Civic lips the width is similar to the GE8.

Mine came with like a dozen self tapping screws, and a bunch of push clips.

No, these are J10s. I don't plan on spending too much money on the Fit - that's what I have a BMW for

Those look good too! Honestly, any 10 spoke looks good on this car for some reason. Eager to see 'em mounted. I can't decide on which shiny wheels will replace my rotas for DDing. I'm pretty committed to the fit platform it seems, so I might go for some holy grail wheels, like weds or volks. Hard to beat some of these enkies overall though.

FWIW, at 16.6 pounds per 16x7 wheel, they're reasonably light and good enough for my needs considering their $127/wheel price. I really like the look of a painted wheel with a machined rim that has a bit of a lip. I think these will look nice on the car, especially with the drop from the H&Rs (and a little bit of negative camber up front - the shop I use has a Hunter alignment rack and this car will be getting a custom alignment). I will get some beauty shots on Sunday or Monday after I give the car a wash (I'll be in Marina at an autocross school with my BMW on Saturday).

I bought these on Ebay for $127/wheel inclusive of shipping from a seller named buywheelstoday. After I bought these I discovered the Andy's Auto Sport site, and found they have them on sale at $112.50/wheel. I don't know if that price include shipping.

Well of course that, and it's shitty outside. Not gonna bother cleaning JUST the wheels and too cold to really bother going to the wash.

Put on my new shift boot! Gotta love early valentine's day presents.

Redline Shift Boot - Black Bride material w/ silver stitching. Also have a threaded Strut King shit boot adapter that gives it a nice finished look and holds the shift boot right in place. Kind of a pain to install tho.

^Making that knob look HUGE! But it's not, 1.8" diameter.

Also I don't know why the stitching is kinda off on just one of the four corners. Just how they're made, all the pics on their site are the same.

Finally got my side view mirror to replace the passenger side that got vandalized. Interestingly enough, the heated mirror is cheaper than the not heated one.

This seems to happen on all fits when they are cold. Are you getting this problem when up to temp, and/or doing city driving? Doing a lot of cruising in cold weather on the interstate? Unless the clutch is being used and slipped, it won't heat up and grab. Mine does this for maybe two or three jaunts up to speed and then goes away, but it's not very cold here.

I've done more research on this subject and as you say it is quite common. It is only happening at cold starts for the first couple of starts then it goes away not appearing again throughout the rest of the day.

Overall, not too concerened since the clutch is not slipping, but I've never had this happen on any MT car I've driven.

The dealership could not replicate it as I assumed (should've shown the issue to them myself instead of letting their tech test drive it). I'll just have to keep an eye on it.

I wouldn't even worry about it. In my opinion, it's because it has a longer lasting surface. To my knowledge, racing setups chatter when cold too. I've yet to hear of someone with actual clutch problems on the GE. Might recall one person who finally had to replace theirs, but they are one of the high-mileage club members with an 09+ that already has 150k or more on the odo.

haha. i wish it was oprah that was involved in this incident last night, as id be entitled to said oprah-money.

i was leaving a parking lot and the gmc sierra in front of me inexplicably started backing up, all i could do is scream and blare the horn, only for him to back right into the hood and crunch it up. ive actually been really depressed about it all, the only satisafaction of the day being that his insurance didnt believe his story and are covering the costs of repairs.

this must be how parents feel when their kid gets hurt, huh?

Ended up ordering the passenger side hood hinge cover seem to disappear yesterday number 19.
Cost around $7 to replace a lot less than a molding strip on a Volvo I had which ran closer to $100 for a small piece of plastic molding.
