Form is huge aspect of function.

Modding a Honda Fit will never build race car, thus form = function.

Exactly so its a balance. You should lower your car but not so low that it causes damage, reduces your vehicles usefulness, or its performance.

The One Unforgivable Sin, Overlowering Your Car

Form follows function. If you function properly, then form should follow.

And this is why this forum rarely produces properly awesome vehicles.

People are afraid of doing things.

I think a lot of that is generational. Younger people are electing to not even drive at all. The older folks have bills to pay, and lack the hardcore spirit. There just aren't enough people into modifying cars anymore, to get spillover into the subcompact segment. Well, unless there is a gas crunch, which there will be eventually.

Overall dude, you are bitching about "properly awesome vehicles" when most of your threads talk about how the Fit is boring, a waste of time to mod, etc. Wtf?

Com'on guys, same team..

No need to bash each other on if modding a car is cool or not. Some of us mod because we want the benefits that come with it (stiffer suspension, better handling, looks, etc). Others love the fit as it is from the factory..

Can't we all just get along?

Looked at a few of the toys to go into the fit from Christmas. (ordering more parts before installing)

JVC R900BT Head-Unit
Infinity Basslink all-in-one subwoofer
LED Festoons from college Hills for the interior.

Will also likely install the infinity Component speakers that were going to go into the integra (but never made it) and also my old "lightning cap" 1/2 farad capacitor... should help with cold starts in the morning as well as the audio system.

Those look like ESM 002r. Very nice looking, and hey, you don't have to worry about them getting messed up or curbed like RSs.

205/40/16 is correct. I got a smokin deal on em. $250 for all four brand new.

And the wheels are 16x8 +20 all around.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Bein so low is proving to be stressfull. Even with all the rolling and pulling it still rubs like crazy. I guess its the price of the style.

Yeah, it's that width and offset. Once you got poke + low, you gonna rub!

Today...

I took the Fit to the dealership to get the problem diagnosed. I mean, I already know what the problem is... a busted engine mount. But it's nice to get an official diagnosis, right? Even better... being told it's covered under warranty. Awesome!

Sorry, no sarcasm today, just genuine happiness.

Happy New Years Y'all (why do I keep using "y'all"?)

Replaced the dome light, map lights, and cargo area light with LEDs. Now I can see when I get into it before dawn to go to work. The original lights were so dim when combined with the black cloth interior…

Does the LED in your dome light stay on when you have it on the middle setting and have the doors closed? I can see mine just barely on so I only manually turn it on.

On a time delay, just like the original bulb. It turns itself off after about 30 seconds after you close the door.

Got a steak sauce (A-1) service done. I normally don't really mind changing oil myself, but it's really cold here now and, more to the point, I had a coupon for a free one at the dealership...and free is good.
