Interior progress shot. Just added the carbon meter trim, and window switch panel covers. I didn't order vent piece to see how I like it with a more subtle look. The carbon knob helps tie it together, and I'm very pleased. Sorry the carpet is dirty. Everything else is clean, at least.
Looks great! Are the carbon trim pieces Honda parts? If you don't mind, what's the cost on the meter and panel covers?

Those switch covers look real nice. Have a close up?

I been ordering parts but with snow and around 27 degrees might have to wait until spring. I should of had shipped the parts to Texas prior to me driving down there next week.

Yeah, I can't remember how much exactly, but around $150? It's a lot easier to swallow than the $200 or so for all the parts. I think the vent covers look kinda weird being chopped off the way they are (see if you can find a pic of what I mean.) Definitely get closeups soon. I'm very pleased. They make the switches just feel nicer and more substantial. With my lowe's door cap mod, the whole appearance is well put together for a economy Honda.

It was 83 degrees the other day. I always forget how a lot of you are snow bound. Move to Tejas!

MORE MODS: just put on some zeta door sills. The interior is coming along. Just waiting for the custom shift boot and boot adapter/holder thingy. I customized the hell outta the redline goods boot, clicking off almost all the options, and I'm really looking forward to the results. Almost the perfect scheme/setup for the GE8. The shifter area is just too boring compared to the techowizbang dash.

Today I gave my base some love.

She got a full detail including wax, dropped her a little lower and plastidipped my tow hooks black.

This is all in preperation for my wheels arriving friday

All that is left is some fender rolling/pulling and front camber bolts!

First snow storm of the year, and this is what I get. Driving down a road that wasn't salted, and I stupidly decided it would be a good idea to go down the steep hill instead of taking a detour.

Could have been worse, if the curb wasn't there, I would have hit a mailbox. The guy in front of me spun around in his escape 4x4, and went in the ditch on the other side of the road.

Dunlops are gone!!!!!!!

When I purchased my '10 Fit Sport it came with infamous Dunlop tires and I did 35,XXX miles on them. Let me tell you that I will never ever buy Dunlop tires on any car I own because those tires were simply horrible. It is amazing how a company such as Dunlop that's been making tires for so long could produce a tire as horrible as the ones they put on our Fits??? Anyways after much research I've decided to put 205/50/R16 Firestone Firehawk tires on and my first experience driving on them is very positive. They do handle slightly differently than the original 185/22/R16 size, but in few hundred miles I'll be adjusted to them. Anyways I'm glad Dunlop tires are gone.

After tire replacement I went home and changed oil and filter. I used Mobil 1 5W-20 full synthetic and Bosch 3323 oil filter. Once the oil was drained I installed Fumoto oil drain valve to make my oil changes less messy in the future. After oil change I cleaned windows with window cleaned and did a Rain-X treatment on them. Overall, it was a good day today. Cheers

Wow, what a deal. Are you mounting them? Don't you already have a set that came with the car?

Lightbulb

Removed 8 oz. of Mobil1 5W-20 from the 1.5-liter's sump and added 8 oz. of Drill & Tap Shield via the oil cap while running. At present, I am realizing a 2 mpg gain in mileage over straight Mobil1 5W-20.

This is the same additive as the company's Engine Shield.
