What did you do to your GE fit today?
Winter Boots are on the FIT now (General Altimax Arctic on 15" Integra Alloys). Supposed to get some snow tonight and I figure I waited long enough. Pumped them up to 36PSI in the 33F Temps so i should be good for the drop in winter temps coming ahead.

Completely agree. With the exception of some mazdas, and other cars here and there through the years. Overall, Honda has the shifter mastered.
Got a good deal on some snow tires & wheels so I threw them on today. Over half way through December and we haven't had any measurable snow in my area of upstate NY...figured I was pushing my luck waiting this long to begin with.
Started it in -27C. It doesn't like that, even with the block heater plugged in. It did cough into life though. I'm sure everyone here knows this already, but man does our stock battery suck. 330 CCA? In a place that gets down to -50C, that's *useless*.
Well then replace it. Manufacturers rarely put a very strong battery in their vehicles to save on cost. Even $300,000 supercars require a trickle charger sometimes. I know the Porsche Carrera GT did.
So a three year old motorcycle sized battery almost didn't start a car in extreme weather. Does the block heater affect the battery? Surely you have that wrapped in its own heater...
My problem is this: If I replace the battery, I have to also pay $50 on top of the cost of the battery to have the car starter reprogrammed. The wife insisted on it, and its the last one I'll ever have. If the car gets a boost, the battery dies or is disconnected, it goes nuts. The car starts itself and won't shut off unless you turn the key all the way, and the security system goes nuts if you touch the buttons on the starter fob.
Edit: They make battery heaters? If I'd known that, I'd have done that earlier...
