as far as the head unit, its a pioneer avh-8400bh. i used the axxess aswc to wire up.

Axxess ASWC Steering wheel control interface — connects your car's steering wheel audio controls to an aftermarket stereo at Crutchfield.com

Had to splice in two wires behind the vehicle harness for the steering wheel controls.
good info my man! thanks! though i wished i told you earlier so that you can pick it up here in PH when you went home

so there will be really "splicing" activities to work out with the steering wheel controls. ow well...

lol at your GF who didn't want to walk at banawe. Well maybe because it was so hot and lots of people???

Planning to get either the 4450bt or 8450bt (asian version i guess) to work with.. but the steering wheel controls are the ones that holds me back. Hopefully i can order that one from here

yeh man it was so hot i was soaking just walking 100 ft. had to go buy some sparkle in a plastic and hop into a cab to Trinoma right away.

i believe there are some shops that can install the controls for u there too. I think SNY customs can. I've been checking out their FB page alot and they have alot of audio and custom work.

the install was pretty simple, but it took me a while trying to figure out where the last two wires go. good thing crutchfield had impeccable tech support and after 2 phone calls i soldered the correct wires and had it working. its an 800 number, so u shud be able to call them for help if u buy it from them.

Man... I think I need to look harder next time I go to the PH. All I cam back with was a Jazz emblem, didn't know I could source a similar set of tail lights while I was out there. I only ran into the depo's also.

Yeh everything can be sourced there, but it doesn't mean that they have them in stock. Best i think is to pre-order them from the shop and have them source it from Japan/Taiwan/HK before u go there. They had just ran out of the Axis Tails when i got there and i don't have much time to wait for them to order a set for me.

Don't be scared of the axxess swc unit. It's really easy to install. Only takes about 5 min. If you can install a head unit, this is 10x easier.

I like them.. I even like polished aluminum vacuum vacuum cleaners... When I was younger and riding motorcycles I was never without a tube of Simichrome polish and pieces of an old T shirt..Simichrome

Got some replacement parts from Bernardi. I somehow lost my little fuse puller and the little connector hinge thing on my wiper fluid reservoir cap was long gone.

You know those creepy pictures back in Science/Human biology that show humans without skin and just showing muscle tissue and eyes?

Yeah, your photo made me think of that.

None-the-less, I look forward to seeing the finished product!
