Guys, how do you remove the panel below the HVAC switch? Every DIY mentions removing it...but theres no obvious gap to use to remove it.

Thanks!

You mean the one with the cup holder light in it?

You have to pry along the bottom of that panel, theres a ridge along there. Pry 3 clips out from left to right and then the top will just hinge out.

Hmm. All my screw drivers must be too big or something. I couldn't get anything in there.

You need a panel puller with a 90 degree elbow to wedge under there.

Theres pics in my climate DIY show the exact place to pry at. Assuming i understand which panel youre talking about.

Do yourself a favor and buy a set of trim tools, screwdrivers will end up scratching your plastic trim and even cause the panels to misalign. I had to remove the same panel you just did last week and these saved me a ton of time.

You can get them from Harbor Frieght for less than $10

I ended up picking up a set of them from Advanced Auto Parts for $15 or so.

The screws ended up being a huge PITA. Having big hands is a huge PITA with everything on this car.

Changed the oil to 0w20 eneos from mobil1 0w20 Eco. So far the motor is a lot quieter than before and I'm netting 3mpg more over 600 miles.

lolz, Nico is such a buster.

I loved Lewis'/Seb's reaction to his complaints in the post-race press conference.

What I want to know is, what the phuck was he thinking? Hey I'm 2.6 seconds behind my teammate, I'm not making up any ground whatsoever, let me call into the team and tell them that my teammate is going too slow. I could understand, if he was consistently every lap making up .5 seconds and then dropping back because of the dirty air and also within the DRS zones, but he was not even in the DRS zone, so what exactly was his complaint? And then when asked in the press conference if he was in the same situation and his answer that it is not relevant, just shows he's lost it. He's broken mentally are my thoughts. He should think about going to another team, Lewis is just the faster driver and if he does in fact get the 27 million/year contract, Mercedes also believes their best hopes are with LH leaving NR as the RB of Mercedes.
