Received the key ($43) yesterday and was able to easily program it to operate the door locks and panic on the 2010 Fit. It took me a few tries to realize you need to take the key out of the ignition for the newly programmed key/remote to work. Just follow the above directions and then remove the original key from the ignition to test the new remote. Thanks to all for the help on this. In my case the the drivers side key cyl. is jacked and this was the cheaper and ,in the long run, the better alternative to replacing it.

I am curious if anyone has tried an aftermarket /non OEM blank/remote to do this? I bought the OEM online from a dealer but was curious about the others.
