Strange clicking noise from steering wheel

Recently I've noticed a strange clicking noise coming from my steering wheel when driving my Fit. It's driving me crazy! It's hard to describe, but it's kind of a clicking and ticking sound that reminds me of an electrical discharge. Should I have it looked at or is there anything I can do?

do you have your turn signal on when you hear the click? or is it normal driving

Nope, just normal driving. It's definitely not the turn signals. And I don't hear it when I'm stopped, only when moving.

i wasn't thinking the turn signals, i was thinking it could be the gear or catch inside the steering column that pretty much tells the turn signals to turn off when you've completed the turn, it could be that is what is causing the problem. but i'd have to hear it to be sure

you could also check your axles. they do that when they are getting
ready to go bad.

I'm busy tomorrow, but this weekend I'll try to get a video of the noise. Hopefully that will help. I've barely driven 1,800 miles, do you think my axles could really be going bad so soon?

it seems unlikely its the axles if its a brand new car. take it to the dealership and have them take it for a test drive
