some 09 FIt Issues, any IDEA?

I had a few issues with my 09 FIT, one is the ignition key wouldn't turn, i tried the key for about 3 minutes, nothing, all the lights worked, and what not, it was in the ignition locked, i could take it out but not turn over the car.
I waited about 3 minutes...then it worked.
Any idea what the problem was? first time it has happened to me.

another question is when I drive the doors automatically lock at about 20mph, then when I stop the car just the drivers doors unlocks automatically and I have to unlock all the doors with the remote or switch lock, is this normal?

my Fit has is a Sport with Navi

Try turning the steering wheel when you are turning the key. This should fix the problem.

As for the locking. It is an option in the manual that you do. I dont remember how i did it, but you can set park to unlock all the doors instead of just the drivers door.

ok... so the Key wouldn't turn? or the car wouldn't turn over? (two very different things). if the key won't turn, that's the steering wheel lock mechanism and turning the wheel should release it. If the car won't turn over (but the key will turn), it could be a number of things. In the 5MT fit's (and any manual trans), the clutch has to be depressed in order to start the car. I'm sure the 5AT has to be in park and the brake pedal depressed to turn over. It could be a simple little switch issue or pressing the brake further/clutch further.

Poor clutch.. what kind of life is it when you are forced to be depressed in order to work properly...
