Thanks for the “welcome to FF”. I’ve been meaning to join this site since last April when I got my Honda Fit Sport. There’s always something else grabbing my time. Yeah that cargo cover gap looks like a mistake, but it was intentional for proper venting. I really don’t care for the gap myself, but it needs to be there. In early model cars that exit port vent was in the 2 front side doors, but almost all the makers now have it in the rear of the vehicle which makes sense if you have gassy friends riding along on a rainy day.

“Clazzio full PVC covers”; they look like factory seats! Very nice, indeed! What about the front seats? I see “Side Airbag” tags on the front seats in my Fit. I was also told by the dealer, at the time when I bought my Fit, that I can’t have seat covers due to those airbags. What’s your thought on that? Cars are just too complicated nowadays; I’m not a fan of those airbags at all.

The stitching on the airbag side is made to give way so the airbag can deploy.

Thanks for the reply! Seeing the way that airbag popped out of the seat was a bit disturbing, haha!

Just installed my cargo cover also yesterday. I have an amp and a 12 inch subwoofer that I needed to hide. Got it for $179 myself, kind of pricey but either way I needed it.

Sorry to go off topic. Nice seat covers. What is the price you paid? If you don't mind me asking.

Depends on if you want full PVC or PVC with leather insert. Both have perforated inserts.

The PVC's are $270 shipped at Bean Garage: Honda Fit - Honda Fit 09+ - Clazzio Seat Covers - Bean Garage

$450 for the covers with leather insert. To be truthful, the PVC's look like leather and are very comfortable. I didn't see the value in the covers with leather insert. Welcome to FF!

I'll throw in my .02 about the clazzios.

I have the leather inserts, but if I had to do it again--I'd get all pvc. There isn't a big difference and the cost savings are worth it, imo.

2012- Your fit looks amazing! Those Clazzios are really sharp. Does anyone know if the head rests are leather in the leather option?
I got the cargo cover when I bought my Fit since I had a similar cover on a Toyota Wagon I used to own and just loved it's functionality-- I ended not attaching mine with the cords, and prefer to leave it flat.

Hi Susan,

I have yet to buy them for the Fit, but I had the Clazzios in my old Nissan Cube. The leather ones only have leather in the insert part of the seat, not the headrest, sides, back, etc. In the pic below (not a Fit), the red part is the only leather part. So, its the same way for us.

Hope this helps. I had my all-PVC seat covers for over a year in the Cube and LOVED them. Zero maintenance (unlike leather which you have to condition). They were a huge upgrade to the car and the memory foam was so comfortable.

Those sure looked great in your Cube! I couldn't be more pleased with my Clazzio's. Thus far, best upgrade.

How did you like the Cube? - one of my coworker friends is thinking about one, but not sure.

I just got mine for my 2013 sport and I have a 3" gap. Does anyone else have a gap between the rear seat and the cover?

The 3" gap is required for ventilation. When the fan is on and you have the settings set to fresh air, the air is then forced through the cabin and exists through a vent that's located just below the tailgate and above the cargo floor. This 3" gap is intentional in the design.

Lol, no... She already found out that the three inch gap is just because it allows the seat to recline a bit.

The cargo does not create a tight enough seal anywhere to block airflow to the vent down below the tailgate. There's more than enough room for air to flow as needed.

Edit: which i already said earlier in the thread... https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...ml#post1082795

Still surprized that more people don't like the cargo cover.

To me, it was worth every penny. I hate having the contents of my 'trunk' on display, especially since I have a sub installed in my car. Even if I didn't have a sub, I still would have bought it.

Though I am glad my cover came with the cloth peice that attaches to the back seats. I've had to take it down quite a few times when hauling larger items, and over the last 2 years or wear and tear, it looks just as good as the day I installed it.

Also, I don't have any airflow issues. Car still de-fogs as it always has, etc, so if you're interested in getting a cover, try and get the one with the clloth peice that attaches to the rear seats!
