I have been on 8 hour trips in the 09 Civic Si and the comfort was great. I can't speak to the 2013 civics though. The 2013 Fit to me is a little less comfortable.

I'd really recommend trying to learn manual, you might never go back! If driving is just to go from a to b and is a chore, then go AT but you seem enthusiastic about cars and driving so if you really enjoy driving and feeling "one" with your car, I'd say go manual. You could even take a driving lesson. In one lesson you can get the basic skills and in two weeks of driving it'll be second nature!

GO 'NOLES! I'm a FSU alum
I have a coworker who has an SI who's willing to teach me to drive M/T, but we both never have time, so I guess I'm just gonna stick with an A/T. Does an M/T cost less than a A/T?

And really?! A fellow 'Nole?! How exciting. I never yet to FSU, but I'm a diehard fan living in Miami, FL. The dirty looks I get here is awesome. I have a couple FSU decals on my car LOL

yes, mt is about $800 less than auto.

Don't let learning stop you. The salesman will give you lessons if no one else will. It's not rocket science, couple times around the block and you'll be ok.

Hm, I'd have to talk to the salesman then. If he can teach me, then that would be awesoooooooome.
