Really, if you are gonna get an A/T, I might suggest the Civiv for the added HP. I find myself yearning for just a little more HP (gimme 130 hp and I'll be happy) but I get by with the fantastic manual tranny. The engine just sings at over 3k rpm, pure music to my ears!
I'd really recommend trying to learn manual, you might never go back! If driving is just to go from a to b and is a chore, then go AT but you seem enthusiastic about cars and driving so if you really enjoy driving and feeling "one" with your car, I'd say go manual. You could even take a driving lesson. In one lesson you can get the basic skills and in two weeks of driving it'll be second nature!

And really?! A fellow 'Nole?! How exciting. I never yet to FSU, but I'm a diehard fan living in Miami, FL. The dirty looks I get here is awesome. I have a couple FSU decals on my car LOL
