Suspension Help

Wassup guys, quick question, i am looking to lower my car just a bit but I am not liking the fact that Springs lower the cars rear more than the front. I woukd like the front to be more lower then the front like a Hot Rod. So i was thinking Coili ers on stock shocks and struts, not slamm it but lower it to my perfection about 1"-1.5"... Will it be ok or will it blow my shocks fast?

my dropzone springs were rated for 1.8 front drop and 1.3 rear drop. Never measured it, but my front is indeed lower then my rear.

They are pretty bouncy around town though, maybe Tein or Progress are more your flavor

I actually seen Teins S Tech and Eibach Sportlines in person and the Back is Def lower then front. But then again can you or someone explain the Bump stops and should I cut or not?

Do not mess with the bump stops. Cutting them down is very foolish. The few people on here who say its okay must never go over a hard bump at all.

Those bumpstops keep the strut/shock from bottoming out so bad they explode or split, then leak the strut/shock oil all over

Using any lowering springs will shorten the life expectancy of your stock struts and shocks.

Most coilovers include their own strut, which is why cheap coilovers are typically only for cosmetic purposes, i.e. their struts are of poor quality. (There are generic coilover "kits" that are welded onto the original strut assembly.) For a quality set of coilovers, new struts and shocks will be included, but they are relatively expensive.

I've seen both S-Techs and Sportlines in person, neither spring puts the rear lower than the front. In fact, no springs I've seen for any Fit have done this.

Hey Dekayfit,

If you're looking for adjustability, I'm selling a set of BC Type BR coil overs (used for 1 season) that will work for what you're looking to achieve.

Send me a PM if interested in learning more.

-Terry
