2.) the color silver will not be available (only a dark gray).

Can anyone confirm/deny that?
Anyone have any recommendations as to a good Honda dealer/salesperson in the Vancouver area?

No sure if my answers will clear things up or even confuse you even more, but here goes.

Middlegate Honda salesman was adamant there will not be a Paddle Shifter which i believe to be false.

From Honda VP Alan Wilcox:

Trim structure will be the same('08 i guess), but with addition of a new DX-A trim.

New Features on DX
- iVTEC engine, ACE body structure, active headrest, 15" wheels with cover, power side mirrors, passenger vanity mirror, fuel consumption display, telescopic steering column, driver footrest, MP3/MWA playback capability

New DX-A trim - DX with AC

LX adds to DX trim
- 15" alloy wheels, tailgate spoiler, heated side mirrors, driver side armrest, remote entry

Sports adds to LX trim
- 16" alloy wheels, rear stabilizer bar, chrome exhaust finisher, USB audio jack

These new features are added to the '08 models.

As for VSA/NAVI, i believe are not offered to the Canadian market.
A Richmond salesman said the Fit comes in silver but not sure if it is SSM.

I am still looking for a dealer here in the lower mainland but i am not worried about the initial purchase price too much but the service after the sale.

Wonder if we can get a Vancouver Group Buy?

Did they mention the Sport Auto will not have a spare tire? Canada version only. You do get a cool kit

$17,480 - DX-A (5-speed automatic transmission)

$18,580 - LX (5-speed automatic transmission)
$19,280 - Sport (5-speed manual transmission)
$20,480 - Sport (5-speed automatic transmission)

Note that the DX and LX pricing did not change at all from 2008. This despite the LX now having heated mirrrors, 15" wheels, keyless entry, and a rear spoiler. Attribute it to Honda finally lowering vehicle prices for Canadians to better reflect the strength of our dollar. I think that the prices for the Sport are slightly lower than last year's model.

Our release date is Monday September 15th, which is 3 weeks after the USA release of August 26 (next week!) Tried to get some info. out of some Honda dealers but no go. Not really sure what Honda is waiting for but the dealerships around here are still under some kind of embargo. All I want to know is if Tidewater Blue comes to Canada! Geez....
Do you know if the LX comes with power windows, air-conditioning and cruise? If not, are any of these available as options on the LX?

AFAIK

'08 LX Trim adds to '08 DX
- Power Door Mirrors, AC, Power Door Locks, Two Additional Speakers

Plus the new features for '09 models stated above. No mention of cruise control so can't help you there.

I believe the remaining two pop out of rear of the shift console, for use by back seat passengers.

From what I read, it washes out in direct sunlight. Basically, no different than my '08 Mazda CX-9, and overall, the vehicle is still good enough to buy versus the competition. Same with the '09 Fit.

Well this is interesting. I noticed above that the DX-A adds air conditioning but no mention of it for the LX. (I'm assuming it's an option on the LX?)

Also, no mention of cruise control on the Sport? Did they forget to mention it? Is it an option that's only available with nav? Or has the price for the '09 been kept from going nuclear by "de-contenting" the '09?

I think we need a complete breakdown of all features and options for each package--- if such a thing exists yet.

I'm guessing that you all survived just fine driving all your previous cars without VSA, but now you're demanding it on Honda's cheapest vehicle? If you are driving an economy car so fast around a corner that you need electronics to intervene and slow you down, perhaps you shouldn't be driving.
