I was offered $400 below MSRP for a 2009 LX and 10% off accessories. I only got this because I'm an APA member though....

I was offered $500 over cost but never discussed accessories. I am a AMA member so maybe that will help as well.

Well my list of accessories totals around $1700, so 10% off is a good deal for me!

If you don't mind me asking, what accessories did you get? I ask because the ones I'm thinking of getting I based on what is available for the 2008 model.

I can only go by the 2008 list of accessories on the Honda Canada site too. No details/pricing for the 2009 Fit, but I'd assume there won't be much difference. Here's what I'll be getting (or variations of these, depending): protector package (all weather mats, cargo tray, rear splash guards), cargo cover, locking wheel nuts, rear bumper applique, touch up paint, block heater, keyless entry, security alarm, silver door panel trim, and silver front meter trim. Grand total = $1784.86, based upon 2008 prices.

pre-order

Put down 250$ for a 2009 MT Sport today. Dealer said that they have a AT Sport with a build date toward the end of this month that I could have it if I wanted. Homey don't play that.

So no build date for my vehicle yet. Dealer said they would try shift their inventory to get what I want sooner. The wait begins...

I'm using the graduate program which is well worth it. I'll be getting a 4.9 % APR even though my credit isn't the best.

What kind of accessories are you going with might be cheaper to splurge for the sport model.

So similar to the 07-08
Just did a road trip through the rockies and down to spokane had it loaded up and a bike rack on the roof with two mountain bikes completed 2500kms overall gas mileage was 6.0 L/100k which is pretty good consdering the car loaded up with weight and racks and such.
best mileage was a 600km trip with no rack and camping stuff inside the vehicle averaged 4.8L/100kms.

Hmm, that (32.7 mpg hwy) is a bit lower than what the 1st gen got... Is the Canadian method of fuel efficiency testing even more conservative that the new US method?
