Yeah that weight was a bit shocking to read. I can't imagine this thing weighing more than 2650lbs, being that it is not gutted, correct? Basically full factory interior still? I could only imagine what this would be like in mine as it sits currently at like 2160~2200lbs.

 

From hasport's article in a past Super street (august 15, 2013)
j32a2=550lbs with manual transmission.
d16= 309lbs with manual transmission.

I would be willing to bet the d16 engine weighs very close to the stock l15a7.

according to online weight of a 2009 fit sport manual transmission= 2,534lbs

so ge8 (2,534) + j32 (additional 210lbs)= 2,744lbs roughly.

That doesn't include any modifications to lighten the chassis or engine modifications.

 

Keep forgetting the GE8 stateside is a fattie and weighs an extra almost 200+lbs on the model here. Stock mine was 1050kg or 2310lbs.

Interested in purchasing a 2nd gen fit sport. Made an account just to subscribe to this thread! Looking forward to this awesome v6 NA build. Currently own an 04 accord v6 6 speed. This much power in a lighter more nimble fit chassis would be sweet to say the least!
