Intermittent Clicking Noise upon Engaging Clutch
Hi, my 2010 fit (manual trans) has 100K miles. After driving thru some stop/go traffic today, I started hearing an intermittent metallic clicking sound somewhere under the hood between my front wheels in 1st/2nd gear after the clutch is engaged. I can't quite pinpoint where the sound came from. It was just a few random and intermittent metallic clicks when car was going below 20 mph and it would go away after I sped up. It was not directly associated with any immediate action on the clutch pedal, shifter, brake pedal or gas pedal. It sounded like I could be dragging metal, but it was all clear under the car.
An accompanying sound I started to notice today but may have been there before was the clutch pedal also makes a slight clicking noise (like an old spring/hinge) as it's pressed down. The clutch itself engages fine and I don't notice any slippage or any performance issues besides the clicking noises.
Could you give me some pointers as to what might be wrong? thanks!

As far as the clicking noise that's heard when the clutch pedal is stroked, you'll likely hearing (two) switches. One senses when the pedal is pressed in (so as to assure the vehicle remains stationary when the ignition key is turned) and the other to immediately switch off cruise control at the top of pedal stroke.
I'm not sure what might be generating the clicking noise while you're merely driving along at speed with no shifts.
