is 215/50/17 work??
Hi, I am the newbie in here!!
I do have some question about the rims and tires
is Konig runaways 4x114.3/4x100 with 215/50/17 can fit into my GE without rubbing?
thanks for reply

I don't have a GE but I think you will rub like hell due to the tire's hieght and rim's offset with that wide of a tire.
Why is that? Well using Yokohama's S Drive as a base tire, the factory upgraded tire size for GE is a 205/50R16 which has an overall diameter of 24 inches. Switching to a 215/50R17, the diameter will increase to 25.5 inches; this is an 1.5 inch increase in tire size and your car will sit .75 inches taller if it were at stock hieght.
In addition to this, the tire will be pushed outward from the center of the car 11mm more than with the factory GE rims. Also, assuming your car is factory height, the tire's sidewall will be extremely close to hitting the lip of the rear quarter panel. If you had an higher offset somewhere between +45 to +48 then you might be able to pull of a 215/40R17 since the tire's hieght is 23.8 inches otherwise go with a slightly narrower, slightly taller 205/45R17, the shorter 205/40R17, or the even narrower, barely shorter 195/45R17.

Yes going with a lower offset will cause you to rub more and what he said ^^^^ Tire is way to tall! I say go with 205/40/17

Even if you do lower the car, the 205-45 would still be fine AND maintain a good enough ride.
