Security system totally LOCKED.

Somehow my security system is getting turned on, I guess by itself? Anyway the system is locked and trying the lock then unlock has not worked. What to do now?

I would pull the battery + wire and let it sit for 10-20 minutes to reset the system. I cannot find anyone with a Civic/Fit with this issue on a quick Ooogle search.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply and sorry for not responding sooner. I didn't need to use the FIT until yesterday. The FOB didn;t work and had to use the key to manually open the door. Checking the battery cables I noticed the +cable was loose moved it till it stuck on the post... tried the fob and the car locked and unlocked and most important started up. A few months ago I had a trickle charger installed because the FIT battery is a piece of crap and if I let the FIT sit for more than 4 days the battery is dead. I'm guessing that the nut that tightens the cable wan't tight enough and worked itself loose. Anyway it works, Thanks!

My Fit frequently sits for a week at a time and I never have a problem with the battery. I do clean and re-tighten the battery terminals every summer and when I am driving it it's on highway trips which do charge it up nicely.
