Rear wiper removal 3rd gen

Going to wrap the cheap plastic chrome on my 2016 fit.
I did some research but everything I found was for the older gens. In their videos with a little wiggling they were able to remove the wiper.

I’ve already taken off the plastic cover and bolt but it does not seem to want to break free. Am I not wiggling it hard enough?

I suspect there is a lot of friction that prevents the removal of the wiper arm from the splined shaft. There shouldn't be any locking mechanism besides the nut that you already removed. Use a little WD 40 and use a screwdriver to slowly lift the arm out. Of course you want to use a rag to prevent scratching the plastic chrome. I would put the wiper arm back on the windshield to reduce potential springing accidents.

I sprayed it twice and had no luck getting it off each time. Afraid to really tug on it. No wiggle room at all. Is yours a 3rd gen? Let me know how it goes

stick a flat head screwdriver under the arm and wiggle it back and forth. Continue the same to the opposite side.
