Whining manual transmission?
Whining manual transmission?
Hey all. I have a 2015 6MT. Got the car at 62k, changed tranny fluid at 63k with 1.5 L of Honda transmission fluid. The car is at 66k now, and for the past month or so I’ve noticed a slight whine in 1st gear when accelerating/decelerating. It’s not RPM dependent and only happens in 1st gear. Is this a “normal” whine like how reverse has a whine to it (due to it being a straight cut gear)? It could have always made this noise and I’m just now noticing it, but I want to be sure. The clutch for the car was replaced under warranty at 64k, but the dealership did not use an OEM brand clutch and just threw in a Duralast kit from Autozone. Could it be just a cheap throw out bearing making the noise?
Thank you!
Thank you!
