Does the EX trim come with the moonroof or is that reserved for the EX-L model?

From the tons of videos I've been watchinig, looks like moonroof only comes with the cars with leather seating... which is most likely EX-L

Just got an update marketing email with links that aren't live yet that listed new colors: The Fit will be available in three awesome new colors: Aegean Blue Metallic, Mystic Yellow Pearl and Passion Berry Pearl (EX and EX-L).

Here's a link to the whole email:

Yes, I'm sure there will be a bunch of other colors--they were just highlighting the new colors.

Unfortunately, most all that link shows is nothing new except the additional colors. Seen this link a zillion times now, and wish Honda would release the darn North American Fit ( Interior and all exterior colors) eye candy and level's, since its about 3 weeks before sales according to another link. End of rant.

Buying cars is subjective to every individual. If one is diehard set on a particular color, then that's what its gotta be.
Dealer psyche works differently. They would rather get rid of existing inventory first, cause that translates into an immediate cash inflow for their coffers.
With that in mind, us retail buyers are more likely to get a better "deal" than special ordering one.
Since I happen to be the first name on my local dealers wait list with a deposit, will get to choose between one of the incoming EX (non-leather) 6-speeds they will be allocated (they are predicting 5 units based on historical Sport manuals they used to get every month). Am just banking that they won't get 5 Yellow ones cause that color ain't on my radar.

That would truly suck, imho. Hope it's a stand-alone option. If not, then my search will have to start all over again. I hate leather.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit, I never noticed. I don't think it had a Moonroof though.

Considering that we don't have stand-alone options in any Honda or Acura car, including the top of the line RLX, I think it's unrealistic to even consider that it would turn out as one.

Curiously, I love leather but realize they probably won't offer the manual transmission with that upholstery. Thus, I'll probably be "forced" to consider the EX trim

Leather seats & hot sun, Auto CVT tranny??? - I am "forced" to stay away from the EX-L model.

That's a very good point, unfortunately. We'll see within the next couple of weeks, I reckon.

I feel like most videos online are ONLY showing the leather (EX-L) when you get a look inside. Which makes sense since it is their top of the line (and they are showing it off at auto shows). However, doesn't this video appear to show a cloth seat option with what appears to be a moonroof?

It doesn't show it all, but I think it pretty clearly shows the outline of a moonroof and I am pretty sure those appear to be cloth seats. Which makes me believe the EX model will offer cloth + moonroof. Feel free to comment if you think I'm wrong about the video, the lighting and angles are pretty bad.

I expect that we will know the answer about sunroof, leather and transmissions on Friday. But American Honda equips all EX cars that it sells with sunroofs both with and without leather.

What I want t know is if the leather optioned model will be available with the 6spd or only with the CVT.

You and me both! I'm from a sun-sensitive family (see username ), I live in Texas, and I'm tall. No sunroof for me. Also, manual transmission is required, or no sale.

Though this EX is basically a replacement for the Sport, so I could see it going down either way - as the EX is just an updated Sport, or it's more like a traditional Honda EX.

With all our guessing, hoping, wishing, concluding.....etc... we Fit nuts have been expending for the past months, these should all be clarrified (courtesy of accordguyintake) by Friday night or Saturday (at the latest??).
Am sure we're gonna get new threads on what Honda should have and shouldn't have. Looking forward to the coming weeks of entertainment!!!

Nothing like a tall Texan to prove that the Fit is a vehicle for all!!!!

I, on the other hand, am short - slim - and happy!!! A FIT for all types of vehicles!!!!
After going through 2 weeks of double shifts, am off till the end of next week. Will be scrolling for every bit of news as it comes out!!!!!

Which also appears to have a manual transmission. Mystery solved perhaps?

Cloth + sunroof + M/T? Oh yah. Not a big fan of leather in my other vehicle, cold in the winter, hot in the summer.
