Here's a suggestion. Shop with other Honda dealers you are willing make the trip in your general area. Find out who has the EX-L Agean Blue. We're all gonna pay full MSRP anyway so it doesn't matter who it comes from. Just make sure you control the dealer fees. They can charge all sort of nonsense to increase profit. Good luck and its looks like you may be the first FF to get one!!!
Gotta post pics.

I would suggest you don't settle. If black doesn't knock you out right away and you remain on the fence, walk out in a hurry. The 'color that might have been' is one that haunts you forever more when you look at your car. You're paying plenty- get the color you want. Also in my experience buying two Fits, there isn't much wiggle room on price so you just be prepared for it. Avoid the push for extended warranty, which is really the only thing they try and make money on. Resist it, no matter how suspect they may make you feel about all the technology in the car that could 'fail'. And when they try and explain how easy it would be to fold the cost into financing so you can avoid it, you say no thank you and buy the car for the number agreed on with the salesman, period. You buy a Honda for the quality. Don't sweat what may be but won't. Good luck!

In my case that's daily, AND sometimes cargo at the same time. That combination makes the Fit a clear winner over the Fiesta. Seats-folded cargo space is irrelevant to my needs. Ideally I'd like a full wagon, but Honda won't bring one over here. So I settle for the Fit which is just barely enough. The 2015's loss of cargo space may be a deal breaker that pushes me to something else like the Mazda 3 or even 5.

GK has MORE cargo room, its just the retarded way they dont count over window height etc. Only time the GK technically has less is with rear seats up and counting only the rear cargo compartment as the seats are a bit further back than the GE. In wagon mode you will have more space than the GE has now.

You have a source for this? I'd like it to be true but haven't heard that anywhere myself, just the 16.6 cu ft number everyone's quoting. The cargo cover is still optional, so it seems to me they would list the full height for cargo unless it was standard.

I got an e-mail from Honda on 4/9/2014 with subject "The all-new Fit is right around the corner" saying that "The all-new Fit hits the streets on 4/14/14. And thanks to innovations such as a new engine powered by Earth Dreams Technology, it earned an outstanding 41-mpg highway rating."

But since then, the 2015 Fit info page on the Honda site is still the same "sneak peek" page with no added details (2015 Honda Fit - Official Site). What is going on???

It is frustrating. You'd think they could get the website moving.

It's probably due to 2013 inventory. I'd be interested to see how much of a dent in sales the zero offset test results caused in 2013 sales.

In one of the reviews, someone measured the load floor behind the rear seats of the 2015 Fit. It measured exactly the same size as the 2013. So I think the lost cubic feet is likely from a slightly sharper slope to the rear window. An area that we typically do not stack cargo.

But if seats up cargo is a primary concern for you, the Mazda 3 does have a bit more in that configuration. I almost always have both rear seats down, and the Fit has the Mazda beaten soundly in this regard. The Mazda 5 has lots of space, but you will not even come close on the fuel economy. The fuel economy champ in the wagon category is the jetta Sportwagon TDi.

The GE seats down measurement of 52.7 cubic feet always struck me as overstated. I think they were including front seat room in this calculation or something. These ratings do not always reflect the real world usability of the space. And that is where the Fit really shines.

As long as I'm still able to save money on hotel rooms during road trips by being able to sleep comfortably lying down in the new Fit, I'll be happy! I wonder how many nights I'd have to spend in my car to break even ;-)

No worries- already made it clear that it WILL BE blue and only blue! He knows I'm not buying anything else. He said he'll keep an eye out on what other dealers get as well but if he's gonna mark it up when they trade I will just go buy it on the lot that has it.

I don't think I'll be first as there aren't many blues out yet. Handy that I found a website "Rocky Mountain Honda Dealers" and I can search inventory from Ft.Collins all the way to Colorado Springs. Everything is within about an hour- 12 dealers! Nice to have it all in one place

2015 Fit

I have a dealer 12 miles from me that alledgedly has TWO '15 Fit's available. I'm going to make a visit (when they're closed!) hopefully to scope them out!
'12 VBP Sport 5MT w/minor appearance & comfort mods!

I just found out from my local dealer (in Knoxville, TN) that the 2 Fits scheduled to arrive this week are now on a 2 week hold due to "transport issues". Go figure...*sigh*

Apparently Honda hasn't learned the Mr. Scott (Star Trek) method of how to make themselves look good - make a conservative commitment and then exceed the expectation by delivering EARLY, not late.

trying to find a weblink with the info but can only find it in Japanese car mags :-/

seems all the cargo measurements are for seats up only that I can find online and with the seats up the GE8 has them further foward giving more rear space.

Edmunds dot com still lists 2015 as "future" model.

It sounds like there is a major delay on getting the new Fits here in the Midwest. I've been working with a contact at Legends Honda in Kansas City, KS over the past couple of weeks, expressing my interest in the new Fit. After several emails back and forth, he emailed me earlier today advising me that the Fits have been delayed, with the LX and EX arriving first and, later this summer, the EX-L's. After some checking, I found a dealership in St. Louis (Mungenast St. Louis Honda) that is actively offering/advertising the new Fits, including the EX-L. I sent an email back to my contact at the KCK dealership, and this is what he had to say:

Good Evening Steve,

It was a surprise to me to hear that there is a dealer out there offering/advertising the 2015 Fit for sale. Within the last week we had 2015 Fit training and were told repeatedly that the Fit is NOT for sale at this time and not to be represented as such. I did another search using Honda's Interactive Dealer Network. It is the network to locate and track dealer inventory. Each dealer can see not only their own, but inventory from each dealer. I can tell you that there is not a dealer in the states of KS, MO, NE, OK, or IA that have a single 2015 Fit on their lot. The communication we received that we have received began with a delivery date to dealers of 4/7. It was then moved to 4/15. Now we do not have a concrete arrival date. We do know the the first models to arrive are the LX, then EX, with the EX-L & EX-L Navi being mid to late summer.

I contacted our District Supervisor just to verify and check on the possibility of taking deposits/selling a 2015 Fit, and he reiterated that the Fit is not yet for sale, and should not be offered/advertised as such. With your discovery, it is obvious that all dealers are not adhering to these "rules".

I apologize for the confusion Sir.

Let me know if you have any additional questions.

While I appreciate the honesty and thoroughness of this dealership (and will likely go to him when the cars do arrive), what is the deal with the delay?

Suggest reading the posts on the "Theory about 6MT availability" thread. That should give you a better idea of what the OP's research has come up with.

Three months from today, all our anxieties will be softened.

The dealer here on Maui told me that they got a 2015 Fit in, along with twenty 2013 fits. And the next day he said that "Honda" took back the 2015 and told them it was not ready to be shown.

I found this story a bit fishy, but I expected that it was because this very small dealership now has (25) 2013 fits to sell. For the t small volume this dealer does, that is probably a 4 months supply. And I expect they do not want potential buyers seeing the 2015 sitting there, making it more difficult to move the 2013s.

Nationally, there are about 5,590 new 2013 fits shown on cars.com. Recognizing that cars.com does not list every dealer's inventory and Fits are presently selling at a pace of about 5000/month, this is a out a month supply.
