Why not Retrofit headlights? I would do it, but I want somebody to take it for the team first!

  • Xpel clearshield over entire front end, rear bumper area (don't like black OEM applique), door handles, door edges, and door sills.
  • OEM mudguards
  • OEM cargo cover
  • JDM projector headlights (when/if available) and LED taillight uppers
That's it for our lil commuter

Keep the ideas coming!

So far:
OEM All weather floor mats
OEM Splash guards
OEM Cargo liner
35% Ceramic tint all around
Tinted windshield
Gorilla chrome wheel lock system
Silicone key fob cover
LED interior lights are next

Still debating on which window visors to get. I like the Mugens but I can't find them online. Also not sure if I want to throw on a set of aftermarket wheels or not. I'm scared I'll come out and find my fit on blocks and the wheels gone.

I just bought the OEM all weather floor mats.

I'll probably get the cargo tray as well.

Once I get the vehicle, it will be tinted.

Edit: Will also consider getting the custom fitted sun shade...

On a white LX, Things I'm considering:

Go one size up on the tires and go to low rolling resistance.
Full Lakester hubcaps on the steel wheels, painted to match the body.
Make reflective white and red inserts for the fake "lambo ducts" front and rear. If I have to have them at least they can be useful.
Light-colored fabric "sheepskin" covers for the front seats.
Light (California legal) tint on the front windows, dark in the rear

Replacing the hub caps with a set of Moons

Also going for the white walls (legality in Oz still to be determined)

The moons and lakester disks can be very cool. I have a set of Lakester disks on my White Scion painted to match the car and have had quite a few people ask me where I got those cool wheels. Not bad for $60 a set hubcaps on steel wheels! Oh, and with going from 185/60 to 195/65 tires I've scuffed curbs without even getting close to the wheels and caps!

I've never tried the add-on whitewalls, but others have said that they are a pain to keep centered if the car is driven much. They are more for show cars.

The rat fink license plate studs might cause you some problem at Customs. They generally don't approve of vermin!

I think someone here had some strange 'bugs' shipped in with their car (Amy?). At least it was assumed so. If that is the case, the vermin should get a free pass.

Thanks for the heads up on the white walls, I will still give them a go and if they don't sit well I pull them off.

Am also assuming that HONDA must do some software mod when adding the larger wheels to the EX & EX-L ... Perhaps? Am very curious to hear your input on this as I am also very anxious to put on some nice wheels!!

Im also curious about this. Ive been looking at possibly getting a set of Hyper Silver Enkei GT7's for my EX. But I would like to go one size down to 15's and run the stock LX tire size. Any inputs on what I would need to do for the TPMS system.

From all the reading I've done here, it seems you'd simply have to reset the TPMS. Run it through its reset procedure and be done.

Radar Detector and power sub installed

Hey guys, installed a few items this week.

-Pioneer TS-A1675R 6-1/2" 3-Way TS Series Coaxial Car Speakers in the front doors
-Kenwood KSC-SW11 Compact Powered Enclosed Subwoofer under the passenger front seat (There is plenty of room for this with enough room to freely move the seat forward and back all the way)
-Escort Radar Detector (I used a screw driver to pop the passenger side tweeter out and fed the power cord down the hole and pulled it back out through the dash compartment and then dragged it through the creases to be directly under the power input under the Head Unit).

Link to the pics:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?...EE&usp=sharing

For anyone wondering, the head unit does not have RCA or subwoofer outputs, so you will have to tap into your front or rear speaker wires for the sub.

My next project will be installing some replacement tweeters.

Original tires on my LX are 185/60/15. More information about TPMS on 3rd generation Fit thread titled "TPMS Light" with input from Myxalplyx and others who seem to understand the system. Also read your owners manual about TPMS.

I wonder where Rottboy has been? he's usually all over this stuff! Did he get his new GK yet? just keeping us in suspense?

Hoping all is well for Rottboy .. he's helped me a bunch in the past couple weeks.

Question for Best Deception --- How cheezy were the OEM speakers on the Front Doors.... I did a speaker upgrade on my old CR-V as the OEM speakers were terrible.... Just wondering before thinking about tearing into my new car... Thanks....

I got a Sharp portable plasma cluster filtration so far.

Hoping for LED headlight and fog bulbs next. Then Dome light LED, Window tints, Bumper applique, Window visors, speaker upgrades, and finally maybe 3M cclearfilm for paint protection (not sure if that's easy to do myself). I'll probably look into the JDM led tail lights too but I'm not sure how to wire them.

It's looking like the interior LED swap along with LED head/fog lights & tails will be a must as soon as possible.

I want to thank everyone for their posts in this forum and helping to inspire me to do a few upgrades of my own. So far I have:

- Installed new LED lights in Interior and rear License Plate (Thanks ADVPhotography). I also have on order the upgraded LED light for the Cargo area - I happened to find this LED bulb on Amazon - looks to be similar and a bit cheaper - I may reget the Chinese product but figured it was worth a shot -- I will post my success/failure with this bulb when I receive it ---

- Factory Wheel Locks
- Factory Splash Guards
- Custom ArmRest -- Thanks Kelly Stewart! (Mine is a cloth version made with foam - see the link for a photo)

- Cargo Net
- Cargo Cover - on Order. Also for anyone interested in ordering online - I did do a decent search online for the best deal and found it at: www.hondapartsnetwork.com I am sure there may be better deals out there and that pricing will change - so no promises. I just ordered the product today and was notified that it will arrive at their location tomorrow and be on its way to me tomorrow afternoon... so not too bad.

- I also have installed the HDMI/AV adapter for my iPhone.

That's about it for now... Although, thinking about the interior illumination lights!!

Thanks for this link, I ordered my cover from them. Seems like about the best price and they don't screw you over on shipping!. Rock on dude! Also ordered the rear applique and a bottle of touch up paint for the inevitable

Does anyone know if the cargo liner is durable or flimsy material? It looks like its a thin fabric in the pics I've seen. I'd like to protect my cargo space and the cargo tray only protects the space behind the rear seats. The interior fabric of the fit seems delicate to me. I haven't used my magic seats yet, but I'd like to put something down so it could hold heavy and sharp edged music gear such as guitar 2x12 cabs etc.

On another note, would a k&n air filter be suggested for this car? How about an aftermarket exhaust? Are there quiet exhaust available?

Sorry, I'm a noob. I've had motorcycles in the past, but never modded a car and don't know what fits yet because the car is so new, doesn't seem to be much support yet?

thanks!
