2015 Dealer Price...and What You Paid
"Pro", as in "Protocology" pack, as in giving it to customers from behind, to pile on some more profit for no value. As in scr
wing the customer.
Completely bogus. Refuse it. There is no such thing as something Honda demands is put on every car, or else it would be part of the car and included in the MSRP. It is simply pure added profit. If there are actually any parts involved, get them at an on-line source for a tiny fraction of what the dealer is trying to charge you.
I got my EX completely stock, no add-ons (in California). Insist on this. In fact, when you first talk to the dealer, tell them that when the car you want is delivered, inspect it, clean it, gas it, and then leave it alone for pickup!

EXACTLY!!! Thats actually what I told them. I said well if hobda put it on every car then it would be included in msrp! They told me the pro pack was to protect my tires from getting stolen, trunk tray, and splash gaurd. Whatever I guess because I didnt pay any of it. I also figured if Im paying msrp then anything like that if they did add it you can do for free. And I really didnt like the fact that they tried to lied to me and tell me honda put it on!
1. Sale Price
2. State Tax
3. Motor Vehicle Fees (plates and registration)
4. Documentation Fee
5. Any additional "State" fees (NJ has a $7.50 tire tax on any new car sold).
Anything else you are not required to pay. Propacks do exist, mainly in used cars, but it's something that affects the dealership, not the customer.
Note: leasing does have additional fees
--Wheel locks: $38 online. 10 minutes to install if you can't find the wheel nut wrench immediately.
--Tray: $80 online. 1 minute to install unless you already filled the cargo area with stuff.
--Splash guard: You don't need it.
Say their cost in these items is 50%. Your dealer profit on the $700 "Proctology Package": PRICELESS
And their honesty should guide you in any future transactions.

Sale Price......Should be only MSRP and freight (as published by the mfg.)
Documentation Fee......on the last 5 new vehicles I've closed, the only addition to the sale price (and of course taxes/licensing) was a PDI charge which covered mechanical prep and detailing (max. $250). Dealers usually stick Doc Fees but its all profit for the business office, nothing more. Was able to get this waived. That goes true for my current order.
Well, here on the island, at least.

I work for a Honda dealer in NJ, which thankfully is honest and does not add any additional fees to a sale. That being said, I've been at other dealerships who do add fees. Again, if you a buying a car, it's pretty much the following:
1. Sale Price
2. State Tax
3. Motor Vehicle Fees (plates and registration)
4. Documentation Fee
5. Any additional "State" fees (NJ has a $7.50 tire tax on any new car sold).

Is the Honda "destination fee" a standard fee at all dealers? Or is this some BS they tack on top?
Are you a salesman? Which dealership? Was looking to pickup possibly two Fits or one Fit and one HRV.
Thanks
Destination fee is charged by Honda to all dealers. $790 for the '15 Fit. Its there on the Honda.com.

Damn, may I know exactly which dealer? I live in Montclair. I might go there. I want a EX too.
I bought my Fit Lx yesterday!!!!!!
1. LX
2. Los angeles
3. Msrp plus bogus additional fees
4. Msrp+tax+license
I was also wondering if anyone else has come across the pro pack. The dealer tried to tell me that it was $695 and that Honda not them puts it on every LX model. I refused to pay for it because something seemed fishy about it. I hoping someone can enlighten me, is this something the dealer puts on or is it Honda? Thanks

I got it at Honda of downtown LA. They actually had two when I bought mine so they may still have one. The other dealers that had one were Honda of Hollywood and Scott Robinson Honda. In checking with a bunch of dealers before I bought mine it really seems like theres quite a few that should be getting some LX models within the next week or so. Hope this helps.
Just wondering, is that check being made payable to you or Honda Finance, to pay off your Pilot?
I didn't get a screaming deal, but I got a FAIR deal. I knew for a fact no one was going to come down on the MSRP in Austin.
I bought a 2015 LX with the CVT for $17,115 in Austin Texas. The usual nonsense fees applied. Here's a copy paste from my spreadsheet:
Selling 17115
Dlr Inventory Tax 39.36
Sales Tax 829.06
License Fee 69.25
Title Fee 33
Inspection Fee 23.75
Doc Fee 125
That 10 keys up to $18,234.42
There are dealers in Dallas letting this car go for like $16,700, but I thought about it carefully and decided to just pay the extra $400+ (plus that dealer had slightly higher fees, I would have had to drive there and back, etc.). From what I can tell the fees I paid are non value added horse hockey but every dealer I could find had them.
I got most of my negotiation licks in talking them up on the trade in. I also got pre-approved for financing at the credit union, so that made them "beat" that financing offer. I walked away feeling like it was "fair" so I count that as a good deal.

great price on ex-l
dschiri1 posted that he got the GK EX-L for 21,500 out the door which I think is a great price. I am hoping he will get back with a breakdown of all fees. Is anyone else able to get near this number?

Mine added crap too
Mine added crap too. Just laughed at the add on. Told I don't want the add on's and hold no value for me. Use costco buying service as a base line and go down from there. They offered an a high price 24000 out the door. Said WTF. Did my research offered an out the door price 21500 for EX-L. Which includes everything. They tried to do the wait and see what we can do act. Said I have to pick up my kids and left. 1hr later got a call let's do it. OK price for florida taxes are 1400 plus new tag fee. I
had to have a car. They left the tint , mud flaps, trunk tray and pin stripes on.

Pretty fair indeed!!! At least no power pack or the like charged.
MSRP with minimal doc fees and no PDI charge, I think is pretty good, plus the fact they didn't tack on any retail dealer priced accessories.
Ya both owe this forum some pics. Oh yeah, don't forget to give us your impressions - good or bad.
Enjoy the drive guys!!!
