Just make sure you read all the components of the deal they will present to you before signing and giving your refundable deposit. Once a dealer knows your expectation for the trade ($2,500), they will show you what wholesale value is and move from there. They also could show offer $3,500 but then get you in other places, such as unneccessary dealer fees and the like. Be prepared to negotiate. Am sure they won't let you walk.

Good luck and am sure you will land the perfect deal!!!

Don't forget to post pics once you take delivery!!!

Hi,

Congrats on your new Fit!

I'm planning on the exact same Fit - White EX-L - to be purchased in CA.

Do you mind breaking it down, tax, reg, dealers fee, etc, so I know what your out the door price was?

I'm guessing somewhere around 23K?

Were there any surprise you were not counting on?

Thanks

Rick

Just ordered a white EX-manual. I brought the TrueCar.com price showing 17,824$ and they matched it.

Paul Miller Honda in West Caldwell, NJ

17,824$
710$ destination fee

= 18,534$

Just picked up EX-L w/navi MSRP + taxes/reg of course. There was no haggling, literally 3 people were trying to buy my car (last one on lot) while I signed paperwork.

Anyone else in WA hearing this? Dealer demanding well over MSRP? Everyone else in this thread is getting MSRP or cheaper.

DMV vehicle registration calculator

If anyone is in California this will help you figure out total cost of taxes and registration fees

https://www.dmv.ca.gov/FeeCalculator...VehicleForm.do

good luck in your search

Not sure about availability or if it would be worth your time but I bought a white EX MT at piazza Honda in reading pa for 18225.00. I'm sure they would match the price if it's worth yr time to drive a little. Anyway, just a heads up. My total out the door was 19,567.00$ with tax, title and reg

No CVT. They had the black one for two weeks and wanted to sell it. I like black.

They had fix of them and the black one sat for two weeks. I made them an offer and they declined. I increased my offer by $250 and they still declined so I left. Called me later that day and said they would take the offer.

Totally confused by your price report. But if your out the door total price was $18,436 for an EX CVT, then you bought the car for more than $1000 less than any Honda dealer can purchase a car from Honda.

Could you clarify:
What was the price of the car?
How much were the dealer installed accessories?
How much was the sales tax?
How much did you pay in dealer doc, or processing fee?
Was there a trade involved?
