2013, 2015, used, or?
In most regards the Fit is roomier than my '81 wagon. The big weakness with the Fit is once you have something longer than about 7 feet you cannot fit it safely into the car. There's no way to tie the door to anything such as the bumper to drive a short distance from a hardware store to home, nor is there a roof rack. Because of the fold-up back seat on the Corolla (vs. the fold flat seat on the Fit) I can't get anything longer in its cargo space than I can in the Fit (about 5 feet long). However, when I once had to move a sofa with the Corolla all I did was tie the hatch down on it and leave it sticking a foot or so out the back for the 2 miles on city streets I had to drive it. The times I needed to buy 12 foot lumber I was able to tie those to the Corolla's roof rack. I guess I could look into getting a third party roof rack for the Fit but I don't know how strong those are, nor how strong the roof is. I remember putting a really heavy bookcase on the Corolla rack which was actually bolted to the car permanently.
