gas cap frozen...
*update*
silicone spray did not work, it still froze. i cleaned it up again, and used dupont teflon spray and so far so good.
this stuff:

yeah, this is a great idea because i, A) carry one of those around and B) there is a outlet near the gas pumps...
again, if it happens one more time, i am removing the rubber leash.

I wonder if the extra bottle of "de-icing" windshield fluid we carry in the back of the car, could not solve the problem by pouring a little on the gas cap, at the station?
