Ground Connection at Aux Fuse Panel?
Ground Connection at Aux Fuse Panel?
I am trying to add a circuit to the auxiliary fuse panel underneath the driver side dash that will power a 12v socket, and I'm wondering what I can use for the ground connection. There is a bolt at the top end of the fuse panel that looks like it holds the panel in place. Is it safe to undo that bolt and attach the ground wire from the socket there with a ring terminal?
I also read a post were the guy grounded his seat heater circuit to the bare metal plate in front of the steering column, but It seems cleaner to use the bolt on the panel. Is that safe to do? I don't want to melt/burn/blow anything up. Consider this post the FF equivalent of measuring twice and cutting once...
THANKS!

I just created a thread with instructions on creating an easy ground point near the fuse box for electrical projects.
