Loving my new fit

I bought my blue 2015 Honda Fit EX 6MT over a month ago, and I love the car! The picture doesn't do justice to how nice the blue looks. I am very glad I got the 6MT because it is a joy to use - the clutch is surprisingly soft, but accurate and the shifts are buttery smooth. The amount of back seat legroom is unreal, even my tall friends were impressed.

I only have a few minor criticisms, but that is to be expected with a car in this segment. All of the touch areas are fairly high quality, but it is pretty clear where the corners were cut to get the price point. The trunk liner is pretty flimsy, and I think the floor liner is a must buy. I have noticed a small rattling sound when going over bumps - I think it might be a window in the back. Also, the shifter is in a weird position that is a little far from reach. I am 5'10" so I'm pretty much average height and shifting to 3rd and 5th will require me to lean forward slightly. This was almost a deal breaker, but I was able to adjust the seat to be 95% comfortable.

I can overlook all of these things considering the offer the dealership gave me: $17,390 including destination fees. Out the door was ~$19,500 because of dealer add ons, most of which I don't really need. I just filled my first tank of gas which costed $17 and an mpg of 31mpg!! This is such an economical little car! I drive 100% city with A/C all the time by the way.

The only accessories I have so far are the trunk liner, husky liners in the front and rear seats, as well as USB chargers for my phone. I plan on getting some LEDS for the interior lighting one of these days. Just thought I would share my experiences with you guys!

I agree with your assessment for the most part. I would have liked the steering wheel to be a grippier material, but that's easily fixed with a wheel wrap. Also the blue is a really nice color on this car. I'm slightly disappointed I didn't get it, but my last few vehicles were blue and I wanted something different. That and they didn't have a blue one on the lot

Congratulations on your new Fit. I love mine and it's been perfect for 14 months so far, in town and on the highway. Wishing you the same.

Did you get, or can you recommend a wheel wrap. I'm looking at buying a 2015 EX new very soon.

Yes I did the Wheelskins brand wheel wrap. I went with their Eurotone, fully perforated. You can see pics on my intro post: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/3rd-...ick-intro.html You can buy it at autoanything.com, if you play their sales you can get them for 20% off. For example they're doing a labor day sale right now.

I also eventually bought the leather shift knob that was for an EX-L and it matches pretty well.

You are not the only one with this comment. Have seen others share the same feedback regarding shifter location.
