How to remove side mirror skull cap from 2015 Honda Fit?
Someone clipped my driver's side mirror, busting it at the base - so I have to replace the whole unit. I got a replacement side mirror for cheap, but it's blue and my car is silver. I want to pop off the blue skull cap and replace it with my silver skull cap (which is undamaged.) I've found how-to videos and diagrams for removing skull caps on the previous Honda Fit model, but the clips aren't as easy to find on the 2015 model - only two clips are immediately visible, and they're not enough to release the skull cap. Does anyone know where the other clips are/how to remove the new model's skull cap?

this might help,
if you look at the parts online you may be able to see where the clips are ?
maybe even ebay ?...for a photo?
its a pretty common part you are asking about i would guess

Thanks for the suggestion, but unfortunately the Honda parts diagram doesn't show where the clips are. BUT I figured it out. In case anyone else has this issue, there are 4 clips - two on top that are the same color as the car, and two on the bottom that are black. The skull cap and the black bottom piece have to be removed together (this was my mistake - I was trying to remove the skull cap independently) by pressing the 4 tabs in simultaneously.

Any suggestions? I'd hate to break the mirror.

Start with the 3 hinge clips first and firmly but gently pry the piece apart.
