I guess for me the surprise is that I think when you have the back-up camera, there is a degree of learning when and how to NOT use it.

That is, I admit it's useful in showing the immediate area behind me, and can be useful in precision parking. But given the "fish eye" perspective, I think you have to also go "Old School" and be sure to LOOK behind you, and continue to use your mirrors.

I'm adjusting to the reality, and finding ways to make it useful.
It's just different than what I expected.

Nothing beats the old method and common sense. I do not pay attention to it at all.
