I mean why it took 6 month that long for insurance company to declare the result as total loss. My fit get hit by a car on May 2nd. and I just get the result last week from insurance company telling me the car is a total loss.
And I bought the gap insurance this time when I purchased my new fit. I told myself can not afford thing like this happening again.

It didn't take 6 months. I think it was less than a week.

Why do you think it took 6 months? I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.
