Makes it sound like you are just ranting. Why would you have even considered a Fit if the quality if failing so much? Also, I suppose you haven't heard of all those Toyota recalls?

Rhetorical...no need to respond.

Because I like Honda. I think quality is falling in Toyota too, but at least they offer what most people consider standard in their models (Aux in).

Best way to listen to a Sirius stand-alone unit in EX

OK - I've read a vast number of posts ranting about the lack of an Aux input on the EX and I'll enthusiastically second the motion. That being said, I liked the other aspects of the Fit enough to get a nice blue EX which otherwise meets our needs very well. I have a stand alone Sirius radio that we like to listen to on trips and need to come up with the best way to connect it to the Fit's audio system. I've read enough posts to know that I can't do it via the USB or HDMI ports and there does not appear to be any easy way to hack in an aux input(did that in my '07 Odyssey and it works fine). I see some have posted about using the Sirius/XM FM modulator unit with an antenna adapter, but I'm not keen on that option for a variety of reasons. I've also seen posts that imply one could use a bluetooth transmitter as made by TaoTronics and sold on Amazon(one of the earlier posts in this thread points to it). I have connected my Samsung tablet via bluetooth and can play music from my library there and find that the sound is completely acceptable. So.......my question is, has anyone actually used the TaoTronics device (or something similar) for this purpose and how did it work? Any problem getting it to pair up? Is the output level adequate to provide good mid-range volume control? I'm not concerned about trying to link my phone to the system while using the Sirius, so that's not a concern.

Satellite radio is overrated

I had Sirius from 2006 until 2011, it was the greatest thing until the XM/Sirius merger. From their things and content went downhill. I did enjoy having the access to the same channels nationwide and through my travels. But it was just too expensive and they just didn't play what I really wanted to hear.
If I were to subscribe again, I would suggest getting the Sirius app on your smart phone, and subscribing to the stream only access. It is the same price for any additional radio that you would have to purchase and you would be able to listen to it in your car and everywhere else you go without your car. Also this is a beneficial choice if you have an unlimited data plan.

When I purchased my 2015 Fit EX I was slightly disappointed that there was no option to add Sirius radio to the stock radio. I had a 2009 Toyota Corolla before my EX and I purchased a Sirius connect box, radio interface box and antenna adapter for $120 at the time. This way I was able to use the stock radio and everything else was in the trunk. It worked very well and was very transparent.

If anyone here chooses to buy the ad on the radio, good luck with finding a mounting area and running the cables. I purchased all of my Sirius pieces from TSSradio.com I would also recommend using the FM modulation to play the satellite radio to the car. If one uses the Bluetooth interface then that's an additional piece that you need to buy, and your phone will not interrupt the radio for phone calls and traffic warnings from Waze. Honestly the sound quality just isn't that great from Bluetooth vs FM modulation and it's another piece to deal with.

IMO I'm more than happy with 2 USB ports, MP3 CD and Bluetooth in my EX. I've loaded my old iPods and a flash drive with audibles that I WANT to listen to. Switching content on the fly is easy peasy!!!

I used to listen to Sattelite radio too, but now I just download a bunch of podcasts on my phone instead, many of which are programs from radio. I was never much into the music side if XM.

If I'm going to listen to music from my phone, I use the usb cable since it sounds better to me. I probably should try the flash drive thing though.
