Recently my temp light started to come on, i checked the coolant and it was a little low in reservoir, i then topped it off to the fill line. Red temp light still blinking i have a 2016, anyone know what can be wrong, does this vehicle have a thermostat i can replace? i hope its not water pump.

add some coolant to the radiator
make sure its topped off, then let it idle for a bit while checking the temp.
could be air in the system if coolant was low inn the rad.

Thanks friend, that fixed it.. When I took off radiator can there was a hiss so definitely air, it took quite a bit of radiator coolant... topped off let it idle out the cap on and drove for 30mins no temp light anymore.
Thank you

Glad it worked. Sometimes the smallest things cause the biggest problems.

Yes indeed, I'm still a little scared and keep a close eye, when I topped off coolant from from radiator spout I waited some 15mins and there were still bubbles coming from it...the bubbles never stopped.

The question you need to answer is where that coolant went and how did so much air get into the coolant system.

Being a Subaru guy, I would first suspect head gaskets. Not sure if the Fit is phone to that or not.

Either an external coolant leak, or an internal one. Time to investigate.

A follow up to the this: Fit still running strong no temp light, has to be internal leak, im in arizona so I wonder if thats a factor with the heat, though where the coolant is at is a contained system. I have notice that I can hear the coolant sloshing around sometimes internally but the temp is not alerting me that it's overheating; I wish there was an old fashion temp gauge on this car, that would be so much better than me waiting for a digital alert. Thanks again .
