2009 Honda Fit Sport AT

Hi,

My Fit came from Japan to the US. I had some work done to the car, and when I got it back the what I think is called "Engine splash shield" was missing. It's a black plastic shield that is held in by plastic tension screws, you need to remove it to gain access to the oil filter. I know that I have had it as I've removed it myself in the past.

The dealership and Honda cannot find a replacement part nor can they even find that such a part even existed.

I would appreciate any help and advice.

My US spec '09 Fit never had a splash shield that had to be removed to access the oil filter. I suspect US Fits didn't have them installed as mine was purchased new and there was never one there. That's probably why your Honda dealer can't find one. You'd probably have to access the Japanese spec Fit parts manual somehow.

they never came with one down the center, on the US model anyways.

there are threads on here of people slightly modifying the CRZ one to fit the GE Fit.
