Let's throw out some ideas for locations. I'll have the NorCal peeps pick out a spot. I'm not too familiar with potential meet spots.

 

My vote is for Uvas Reservoir in Morgan Hill. There are pictures of this spot and a description posted on page 10 of this thread.

treasure island was a fatty area for a meet and tons of room for bbq'n it up and sick locations for shoots (ocean, bridge, adandon areas and so on). april seems to soon, you guys should plan on doing it in the summer. give people a lot of time to plan out there stuff. like in june or july.

I dont see anything wrong with 3 meets per year Spring around april can just be a kickoff to the year. then summer can be a big cali meet and we can alternate socal and norcal so its not always up here. and then fall before it gets cold. Then maybe we can get a big event in texas at the race track or something and we'll watch jcrimson run his k20 fit and mash on some lambos hehe. The more meets the merrier right? I dont want to hype anything up beyond what its really gonna be but I'm just down to hang out and get in a good drive and bbq up some good food. I didn't get a chance to go to the two big ones up here last year but am looking forward to something like that again this year.

 

i can do the morning/afternoon of the 16th. And if its at T.I. I would be down for sure, morgan hill maybe... cause i have a bachelors party to go to that night

So ill ask our socal peeps, would you like to save your trek for a summer (probably bigger) meet, or still come up for the April 16th meet which might be less than 10 cars from what I can gauge

 

I'm a total newb on these forums, but I would try to make a meet in April, depending on where it is and how many people are likely to be there.

 

I'll be there no matter what. If its just me, Chris and Tim bbq'n by the lake it will be a success. You are all welcome to join us LOL JK keep the ideas flowing

 

if you actually want this to pop off man, you need to get it started. just asking for people to throw ideas and what not will only go so far and then you wont exactly have a meet. when jdmxge8 and donsauce set up the first one they briefly asked for some opinions and then hit it hard. when i did the treasure island meet i pointed my ideas out and then made happen.

name your location, toss out some dates, let everyone vote by a certain time or majority vote and then when its picked start a thread and starting asking people to drop there names and hope everyone actually shows. at this rate honestly there wont really be a meet just another failed attempt.

 

I'm just a spectator in this game. I have no business organizing a meet and that's why I said I don't want to head this one up. I don't think anyone has shown any interest in taking the charge to head this up to make it a "big" meet so I was downplaying it to say "hey we'll be hanging out at the proposed spot since I know Tim and Chris would be down for a 3 car cruise and bbq"
By all means someone please take charge and this and make it happen as you know how. I think it may be better to start planning a summer meet instead but thats up to all of you.

If a big meet doesnt occur, what about something where we could meet in SF or the surrounding area and just hang out, grab a bite or something of the like?
A mini meet up in Japantown would be sweet

 

parking is a bitch in sf on weekend tho. we'd have to go somewhere else in the city.

 

I couldn't get the 16th off. Didn't think about easter being so late in april this year so I had to choose between my wife's family and a car meet, and well I don't want to be in the dog house for the next couple months. So I keep my eyes and ears open for any meets going down and I'll try to make it to another one.

 

What about the Presidio parking lot? it's huge, plus they've got the bowling alley there too. I suck at bowling but I'd be down to do so if we possibly got together there. Just tossing that in XD
