But I also want to discuss this with bay area fit owners!

First off, Happy New Years to everyone!

NYE and NY were great, but I'm so happy today cause I rear ended someone today.
Briefly: I was going ~25mph on a clear afternoon, stood on the brakes, and the car initially slowed a lot but the second ABS kicked - it never stopped kicking in - the car began to skip and hop away (dramatically increasing braking distance) till I hit the car in front of me.

I want to ask my fellow Fit Freaks if any of you - who still have your stock brake set-up - have experienced premature and prolonged ABS activation, especially at lower speeds. I have frequently found that while even applying light brake pressure, my ABS will activate while going over potholes or driving up onto drive ways.
I have found a handfull of postings on Edmunds with individuals complaining about the ABS system - some who describe exactly what has happened to me today and on some previous occasions too (except there were no collisions).

Honda Fit Brake Questions - Car Forums - Edmunds

Thanks for any feedback.

Hey all, new to Bay Area (Hayward), moved from Socal. Wife's from up here.

Drive a mostly stock Black GE base, lowered with mudflaps, broadway mirror. Stock steelies with hubcaps. Car's usually pretty dirty

See you when I see you.

Welcome to the bay area phenoyz, although Hollister is considered bay area now isn't it? I know Gilroy badly wants to be associated as part of the bay area.

Sup, I'm new to this forum. Figured I'd say hi here instead of starting a whole useless thread / take up needless space. I've got an '08 Fit Sport and was curious to any Bay Area dealers that are friendly for any service? Otherwise any specific performance shop would be cool too.

Hello! Welcome to FitFreak and the Bay We actually have a small group that gets together and has a group page on Facebook, HellaFit.

What kind of work do you need to get done? A lot of us tend to meet up and turn wrenches on things in my back yard Dealers are great if your not worried about the cost or know EXACTLY what your car does and does not need...

If you want specific shops and such though, shoot me a PM
