are there any CARB approved intakes for GD fits? right now i'm running with a K&N drop in but would like a decent short ram (at least)... it seems there's nothing I can find CARB approved. Do you guys plan to swap it out when you're due for a smog?

are they fairly easy to insall?

thanks!

So I just read through the whole thread and I was worried I was gonna miss a meeting. Im new (5 months) in Nor cal coming from so Cal and I am getting anxious to go to a meet. Sucks I didn't see the thread about the track day in Dec. but there will be more.
Im in So. San Jose and SF or Morgan Hill are all fine places to meet for me. I like the idea of the fun roads leading to the lake for a meet/bbq and any food place for a eat and greet would be cool too.

Looking forward to getting to know the other FFer's around here.

I pumped up with Chevon 92 yesterday and it is staying at 35.6mpg majority of the time now . I don't mind paying the extra$1-$2 for premium gas since we only have 10 gallon. Does anyone else have experience with better mpg with different quality of gas ?

I've been getting 35 pretty consistently with 87 piss gas, usually only do chevron or Mobil. I have a k&n drop in and nothing else which also means I have no reason to drive fast or go to high rpm's. Maybe that could be the real reason

We usually get 32 combined, mainly freeway. I have a heavy foot. My wife has gotten up to 34. We have a auto GD3. I have noticed that the mileage will go down when the air filter is dirty. Once the filter is cleaned it comes back to 32. Have gotten as bad as 29 when the filter need cleaning.

^^ I would try to replace all the spark plugs and see if it fixes the problem. It should be pretty easy, if you still have problems you will know it is something else. Not sure how the cylinders are numbered.

We now have 3 solid votes for lake anderson as the next meet spot^^. man the weather was so perfect yesterday. We could bbq and chill all day with weather like that next to the lake.

Hey Tim do you think we can take to the city or whoever runs the lake and ask for a permit to lock down one of those lots for a day?

Let's do this BAY AREA, get excited for 2011. We will revive this thread yet

If you're standing in front of your car, the cylinders are numbered 1-2-3-4.

weird, i was told the opposite... and the opposite would coincide with one of my coil packs not fitting properly (which i think was what is/was throwing codes)

The lot we were at yesterday gets pretty packed on the weekends. Uvas Reservoir is the place I had proposed before with a big open paved lot...

I was thinking we could meet at a big parking lot right off of 101. Then we could cruise to this spot (about 20 minute drive down newly paved windy roads).
