fuse 29 is for the GE, if you have a GD, it should be fuse 22, under dash fuse box, there is also a taillight relay in there, but likely the fuse is bad.

If this ever happens again, the multiplex control unit (multiplexor) would also be something you should take into consideration, as it has happened to me on an accord before, with similar symptoms. Glad you got it fixed!

these cars arent really multiplexed, though..

on another note, i'll tell you this, if you have a 98-00 accord and put an 01-02 accord hazard switch on it and turn it on, you WILL end up buying a drivers multiplex..

Hmmm I'm havin this happen to me as well. But once I replaced #22 it instantly popped the new one. I must have a short somehwere I figured. I verified my running lights arming and disarming my alarm and I noticed that I had quite a few lights out I hadn't noticed (shame). I replaced all of them, new fuse, popped again. I did have my body shop shave off the radio's antenna mount from the roof (don't listen to the radio at all) and the problem happened right after that. Is there any way a piece of the cut out antenna be causing a short of some type?

Anyone take a look under the headliner to see how the wires run? I noticed that the right hand side license plate light only shines dimly (even after replacing) when I arm or disarm the alarm and it seems as some sort of electrical resistance is making the pair of license plate lights take a little longer than normal to turn on and off in relation to the other lights when they blink on and off while working the alarm.

I know the hatch's wiring harness comes in from the roof so I don't know... Makes sense there might be something awry after the shop shaved off the antenna but I may be wrong.

Thank god the problem was a simple mismatch of the plugs inside the hatch. Solved!
