yah, find some windex with Ammonia-D. that + razor blade works pretty well. still a pretty sticky mess though.

i used RC car motor spray to remove the last of the adhesive gunk.

so you just spray windex with ammonia on the tint then use a razor blade to scrap it off? then just get some goo gone or something to get the rest of it off? thanks for the help!

you would first use the razor to pickup the edge using a hair dryer or heat gun.

then gently pull back. usually it'll separate around then. hahahaha. then
just spray the windex and use your window scraper or razor and remove the
adhesive. if you're lucky the tint will come off in one piece, but usually they
separate.

then yah, use your googone/WD40 to remove the rest. it can get pretty
messy if you're not careful. take your time.

I just used windex (not sure if it had ammonia or not) and got a corner up with a razor blade, then it peeled off in a couple large pieces. Bug and tar removed and a rag removed the excess glue.

removing tint

The easiest way I found out was to use those portable steamers for clothes or cleaning around the house. I started by stemaing a small corner to get a good grip on it. After I did that I started steaming between the glass and the tint. You will have to go over it with Goo gone but not a lot. If you use this method to remember to keep the steamer moving don't stay stationary.

It will come right off fairly easy too. No residue either.
This is the best way.

Why get it stripped? Get them to add on a few more % to make it 5%
