Greddy Turbo Kit
that's exactly what I said when I picked the car up from GReddy... BUT! I went in today cause they wanted to check up on the Turbo/piping etc. and they said....I can put my Spoon back on and it won't necessary to re-tune after I reinstall it.

Greddy said the kit will be released in Aug-Sept.

even if I had a mount, I don't have a camera. I'd be willing to meet up with someone who DOES have one to make the video.

Guys.. I hate to burst your bubbles.. but a 120hp fit will STILL be a 16 second car. At 180hp the fit might run low 14s, but that's quite a bit more.
Don't lie to yourselves just because the fit is a fairly light car, but it's no 1800 lb CRX.
With this kit and a tune you can beat non-SI/swapped civics and non-turbo eclipses(maybe not if they have i/h/e), you'll beat older miatas and stuff, but even a N/A VW Rabbit or a Mazda 6, Focus SVT, 99+ v6 mustangs, mercury cougars, just about any lexus, grand am's, scion TC's, celicas, some matrix's... would beat the turbo fit. Need I say more?
If anyone spent $3500 on any of those other cars though... they'd be much, much faster than a turbo fit.
You should really really look at things in perspective before you go spending that much money.

I used to tune out N/A Eclipses, which are also slow cars. You realize the futility after you spend all your money. I helped a friend put together and install an expensive hks turbo kit on his 420a eclipse, afterwards we were almost as fast as stock GS-T's and were limited to 6 psi without blowing our internals. Another few grand to forge internals would have taken us up to 12 psi, but we'd still only run high 13s at a cost of over $7000. After you spend a lot of time and money on making a slow car fast you realize that you could just spend half the money making a fast car twice as fast.
Obviously this kit(and the KW kit) already have their stats posted, if you want to know more you can use the search feature
With an intake, I ran a 16.7@81mph with a ugly 2.4 60 footer.
With 130-150whp, the Fit WILL run low 15's maybe mid 14's.
Of course driver plays a roll.
Also, a previous member cut a 13.9 on street tires in his Fit. He did dyno 190whp with spray.
Actually I guess I need to change my sig. I have a NHBP Fit Sport in the garage and I'll be installing progress springs saturday and my black w/red lip autox's tuesday.

There are people with bolt ons running mid 15's with the Fit.

Hes on pistons and rods only. Ran 11.9@124mph I believe? Megasquirt N Spark, 60-1, I forgot the boost.

i'll give you another perspective to think about: most folks aren't buying this to get amazing quarter miles, but to just improve the fun of their DD.
Mazda 6: why would you expect to beat a v-6 in the first place? their are a lot of cars that would loose. (even though, the current 6 is not that quick 0-60 amongst other v-6 equipped cars.)
VW rabbit: the lastest 170 hp version ran a 7.6 0-60 on car and driver, and they launch their cars VERY VERY Aggresively. I owned a 07 and it had lot of torque, but no top end. A supercharged/turbocharged fit will do more than be able to keep up
what do you mean by non si/swapped civics? most swapped civics are ridiculously fast, and even the 05 si should not be hard to keep up with.
again, the perspective you need to put it in is cost: its cheaper to make your ride more fun in this manner, then shelling out the dough to finance a whole new (albeit faster) car.

Besides, you could always just get a mazdaspeed protege(or insert 50,000 other faster cars here) for $10000 or less and spend the leftover $3000-$4000 you made from selling the fit on upgrades, making it MUCH faster, and you'd still get between 25-35 mpg and have plenty of space.
All I'm saying is... if your kid was 5'11 120 lbs, not athletic at all, and he wanted to sit at home and do math homework and become a physicist; even though you wanted him to be a physicist that played football, would you pay thousands of dollars to get him personal training and hassle him daily to do what you want him to do, even though you know he's not made for it? Besides, he'd most likely sit on the bench most of the game and be glad he's there.
The fit is made to be economic and to be able to look good, be peppy up to 40 mph, and carry lots of stuff.
Spending an extra 1/4th of the original cost of the vehicle on a single upgrade seems a bit ridiculous when you realize that you're STILL slower than the majority of production coupes AND sedans today.

why is every1 worried about 1/4 mile times??? you bought the fit knowing it only had 109hp!!! any owner that complains about their fit being slow is just as slow as their car. For those owners looking for just a little more hp and not wanting to run 10's, hats off to you
I said you could beat NON SI/swapped civics, that means COULD beat. And if COST is the perspective, use nitrous.

i dunno about being slower than the MAJORITY of production cars out there...thats a pretty lofty statment. I guarantee that the bulk of cars on the road today, (v-6 and v-8 powered suv's and trucks, 4cyl and 6 cyl compact and midsize sedans) are not all going to be faster than the fit.
Just look at the power to weight ratio of the thing! 120 to the wheels is pretty darn good, no one is saying its going to be a crx. 120 to the wheels would equal a fit roughly making 145 hp. thats not to shabby. sure we could go your route and sell the fit and buy something different ( i like mzsp proteges) but that still isn't the most economical solution for someone not WANTING to be the fastest thing on the road. And some of us like the fit for what it is, and personal preferences almost always outweigh neccesity or the 'is it worth it' factor.
What if your next choice of car is something much more expensive? who cares if you could this and that to a small cheap car and save money and be 10x faster? not all of us are out for that...and your argument could be applied to virtually ANYONE moddiyfing a car when they is a cheaper alternate route through another vehicle.
There are more turboed mazdaspeeds than supercharged fits out there, and that means something to some of us.
And as evidenced by articles before, fi applications on the fit don't really penalize the economy portion of it. ( i guarantee that a modded mazdaspeed protege wont get the mileage you quoted.) at least the kit i'm considering.
sometimes there is more to life than cost to benefit ratio. and i doubt you will find a supercharged fit driver who is dissapointed with his or her ride.
bottom line: if you dont' want to do it, or dont think its worth it, dont do it. and unless you KNOW what numbers we'll put out, dont' comment on it.
Stock S2000's will break 13's... Ive seen 13.7-13.9 on a stock S2000...... My Fit is faster than my S2000. People will sit here and argue the Fit wasnt made to be a performance car. who cares.
time slips or it didn't happen ;-P i don't believe a 10psi SC fit will run mid 13s.
d: it doesnt' MATTER what you think it will or wont do. show ME timeslips that it CAN'T and then we'll call it a day.
in a world where its an ok thing for guys to mod their r18 civcs when a performance version with huge potential is readily available, we are commiting no crime by modding our cars.
I"m suprised you are so negative to the whole thing...funny how you didn't show to much negativity towards the doug thorely supercharger...yet every other F.I. thread you have posted in has had some sort of negative overtone.
You should be glad that a car that has only been in the states a couple of years has had the aftermarket support it does.
