in a world where its an ok thing for guys to mod their r18 civcs when a performance version with huge potential is readily available, we are commiting no crime by modding our cars.

I"m suprised you are so negative to the whole thing...funny how you didn't show to much negativity towards the doug thorely supercharger...yet every other F.I. thread you have posted in has had some sort of negative overtone.

You should be glad that a car that has only been in the states a couple of years has had the aftermarket support it does.
people were being assholes to doug thorley, that's why I stepped in. the only reason i post in these FI threads is because it pains me to watch people waste their money. you all complain about hummers and their gas mileage, but you want to waste money on the same thing. they waste money to 'look cool', you waste money to go a little faster.

and, there are no slips proving that the fit DOES go that fast, so from the power/weight ratio we can see that the fit will still be slow even with 150hp. so, I'm not the one that needs to show the slips here!

i never said it was a crime, it's just a shame.

i'm not going to argue why people buy hummers, as i can't think of any logical reason to do so. but saying someone is wasting money on a 4k charger kit on a 16k car compared to a gas guzzling 30k+ is just insane.

no one was being mean on the thorely thread. you call out shady people and thats it.

'fast' is relavtive, and its obvious that unless something runs 13's you will think its slow.

but seeing as how my driving enjoyment is not dependent on what YOU think is fast or not, your opinion is of no consequence at all.

if it really bothers you that people are modding their fits (and still getting great gas mileage) you should just stay out of these threads, no one will listen to you. Do you hassle the folks in the bodywork threads for 'wasting' money on spoliers, body kits, and jdm conversions?

people have a right to do what they want, as i doubt anyone here on this site supercharged or turboed their car for anyone else's enjoyment other than THEIR OWN.

Case in point: the nissan GT-R. it basically out performs cars costing disgusting amounts of money more than it.

But is it going to put a dent in porsche/lambo/ferrari/audi sales? No. because people will still opt to pay what they are going to pay, for what is important to them.

the fit will never be able to touch my old rabbit for refinement or high speed stability, but it has better sterring feel and better body roll control.

as far as straight ahead speed goes, the rabbit was torquey as hell. and i had the 150 hp version, they have bumped it up to 170 which i think not only makes it the most powerful in its class, but the fastest as well. It had great low and midrange punch, but it kinda crapped out top end. (again, addressed with the hp bump.)

i run about a 10.2 0-60 now my best was 9.8. My rabbit did the deed (in sport mode) in about 8.8. (the new one bests this by a few more than a second, running a GTI-esque 7.6 zero to sixty.)

And Chris' point was that he owns an S2K and his KW SC'd Fit runs faster than his S2K with LESS than 10psi.

So you take the KWSC Highboost 10PSI kit, and you get a very fast car. Don'y forget.. that the torque on the car is almost on par with the new HP levels.. Honda's have always been missing torque, but now you have it, and plenty of it on tap.

I would expect to see high 13s - low 14s with a 10PSI KWSC Fit. I was running 16.3s with intake, header, and axleback.

As eldaino said, to each their own. For myself, I want the extra power for daily driving, and I like to mod my Fit because I love the car and it suits me and my needs.

not sure if this was discussed or mentioned, searched but nothing came up, but would this kit work with AT?

Well, over in "the other boosting thread" it was advertised that we could take a stock m/t Fit and get from 92 whp to 144 whp on 5 psi + other mods, which is hopefully a bit better than a little faster. (For me I am looking for better freeway merging without changing vehicles.) However seems like there are issues unfolding around reaching that 144 whp figure...

I hope the Greddy Turbo Kit has a smoother time!

no updates as of yet... I threw my Spoon N1 and B-pipe back on and DAMN! it's way quieter compared to when I was running it without the turbo. It also seems to pull a good amount harder as well. They wont allow me to put my test pipe on as of yet though, and so I'm waiting on the tune until they give me the ok. as for a release date, they still haven't given me a specific date.

xorbe if this kit does go a bit more smoothly, would you regret your kraftwerks purchase? even though it has been having a few issues, from the description, i'd prefer the powerband of the kwsc. We'll just have to wait and see how this greddy plays out.

james any new info?

hmmm

so james took me for a little test drive tonight. i didnt drive the car but i deffinatly felt it accelerate. and it did it well. it was quick and smoth i liked it and i like that it keeps the fogs (as trivial as that may sound) and from what i understand it will be a good deal cheaper than the kwsc. of course there are advantages to having a sc but honestly if im gunna save 1000 bux ill take a little turbo lag anyday lol i was really happy with how quick it was it sounded nice too...

ok ok ok ehem lol 122whp i hope everyone understands that it is a 40 whp jump for the fit. Today we had a little meet at long beach ,and i asked james to give me a ride ,since im so confused on what to get turbo or sc
i always thought 4.5 psi is not that much of a difference . IT IS dammnn
i sat in his car i was soooo amazed and that only with the 4.5 psi , you feel the difference ! Its a great jump i was not expecting this , but thanks to james i know what im getting and its definatley the turbo i might try to get the 10 psi , but 4.5 is a great jump wow
im still amazed im sooo jealous of you!
thanks for the ride dude
i know what to get !
