I may do the alt pulley a lot later (like July/August with kwsc installation). I doubt there is any measurable gain with that tiny pulley... well not with my stopwatch methods.

UPS, the route where I live pulls the same crap sometimes. I even drove down to the UPS store to inquire how to stop getting bad service. They told me to avoid the computerized phone system, and press 0 (zero) to talk to a rep directly when holding a package for pick-up. Most of the time they fail to pull the package, and drive around with it on the truck, but never make delivery attempts either. Extremely irritating.

Tell me about it, I got a big apology today from them and a promise to hand deliver the package to my office.... never showed up, no call, no nothing So the saga continues.... I guess I will phone them tomorrow again and just arrange for a pickup.

Finally got it today, thanks UPS for an additional 65$ surprise COD tacked on that wasn't noted on ANY of the various yellow tags they left

Now that I have it in hand that picture of the bent tool Xorbe posted scares me! I am going to give it a try with my impact gun (has about 250lbs in both directions) and the tips Claymore posted up about holding it in gear with somebody on the brakes while the car is off.

So good news, pulley was installed today. The RPM's feel more responsive than before, it kind of feels like I dropped some weight with how it picks up now. It feels about the same as the difference in power between going from a stock air box to an intake.

Also got my Skunk2 short Shifter put in and switched over to Royal Purple synthetic today. Woot!

Getting ready for the Dyno day on the 30th. Looks like it is going to be fun!

Sure... no power gains and it squeaks under load, total waste of money for the amount of work getting both pullies on.

I will be hitting the pullies with some emery paper when I have a chance to see if I can stop it from squeaking when I accelerate. The tension on the belt is fine, I tired tightening and easing it off it with no luck.

I called them up directly when I ordered, seems like the easiest way

Thank you Sugarphreak,
on Friday I had no chance to reply through the website. No power gains and more noise are no good news...

I don't think you'll find any peak HP increase really, it's about freeing up a little mass so the lower RPMs with less torque will pick up a bit faster. I only did the crank pulley and the lightweight 9.5 pound 15" wheels. I think it feels a bit snappier off the line, but I don't really notice any difference at speed though. Need turbo/sc for that...

It made a good difference on the Neon back in the days, but the pulley was 30% Underdrive, a good 5 - 6 pounds lighter, i deleted the Power steering also in the process and the DOHC neon motor is a lot more potent... A pulley alone, stock sized is unlikely to do a big difference power wise on a 1.5l Fit engine!! I would do the traditional Intake, Exhaust mods before...!

Thank you Marko!!,
one thing I like of the Jazz it's silence at idle and would willingly keep it so. About the intake, what about a larger airbox, with a larger air duct? Would improve engine breathing? Sometimes she feels a bit "costrained"

On my GD3 fit, the throttle plate is 50mm and the air box opening mesures to 44mm so it would help top end power!!

Check this out! ->
http://image.importtuner.com/f/89842...fit+dyno_5.jpg

What we see on that graph is the pulleys give more low end torque then any other mods. The stock fit motor starts to become flow restricted at 3000Rpm. The cold-air intake gives the most gains followed by the pulleys and the cat-back! Install a header and a test-pipe right after the intake and the cat-back should give way more gains as the catalyst on a modern OBD2 engine is very dense, not to mention the stock header suck on a Fit! On that dyno-graph, they conserve the bottlenecks in the exhaust so the cat-back have little or no chance of helping on power...

Next things i would personately do after an intake are, in order, Header, Test-pipe, Exhaust, Re-Flash or S-AFC, Intake manifold, Tune, Ports polish + Cam, more Tune, Pulleys, Forced induction and\or Nitrous but given the fact that you want a quiet Fit, i would do Header, Intake (a big restriction and it will make noise only if you step on it anyway!) Pulley, and a Tune with a S-AFC or similar! You may also want a 35 Shot of nitrous later down the road, more then that amount, the stock exhaust will restrict power too much as nitrous generates greater exhaust volume!

Here is a picture of the stock fit Header collector on my very car! A GD3 with the L15A1 engine. Notice the smaller outlet at the header then the exhaust pipe below and also the crappy collector that is hard to see!! -> http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-...48911_3744.jpg I think it's the main restriction on a Fit exhaust!

Marko!!

I don't know, after the cost and trouble to install this pulley set I don't really feel it did anything. I thought I felt initially it let the engine rev more freely, but I don't really see any proof of that.

I am making one more go for big N/A power on the fit, we will see how it turns out.

Is anybody else getting the squeaking from this kit? It was ok when I just did the crank, but after I did the alternator it started making noise afterwards.

You removed 4-5 pounds of weight, plus it was rotational mass. It had to have at least a small effect. It's not +10 HP. It's just "that little bit more".

No squeak here, but I skipped the alternator pulley. Looked hard, obviously tiny gain if any for that little guy.

When I decided not to do KWSC, I sold my T1R exhaust header. Should have installed the header. =/

Thank you all for all your feedback.

In the end the pulley might be of help. I'll try a wider air intake and, if I'll keep feeling the restriction, I'll consider a header upgrade. My small 1.2 i-DSi engine can flow way less than yours 1.5vtec, sadly.

Yeah I didn't get the squeak until I installed the Alternator pulley later... which was a serious pain in the ass. We actually removed the entire alternator from the car and jammed it in a vice to pull the pulley off.

I don't know why they even sell a replacement pulley for that with how much work and effort is required to replace it

hmmm, so perhaps it's the alternator pulley squeaking. Now looking for a cheap, light pulley
