I had an aftermarket pulley set installed on my Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart for about 2 years and after about 40K miles my A/C compressor went out, wondering if the pulley set had anything to do with it. It was probably the biggest noticeable gain as far as cheaper mods that I have ever done. Would love to have those gains on the Fit but not sure if I want to compromise my A/C. Any thoughts or was that just a coincidence on my Ralliart?

 

I've had my pulley on for over 4yrs on my fit/ 50k miles, no problems what so ever.
I also have the alternator pulley, works great, get the set!

 

Are these pulleys, the crank unit in particular, dampened at all? Solid pulleys on a street car are not normally a good idea because of crank harmonics.. ATI or Fluidampr would probably be a better idea.

How much of an underdrive are these?

 

No dampening. Stock diameter, so no underdriving.

 

Hmm.. I'd be curious to see what your main bearings and oil pump gears look like after 50k and no dampening.
