I believe the Black Box only has a short term memory and is recorded (and or burn in) after the airbag deploys, for use in figuring out what happen in an accident. It will not show anything about how your engine ran or anything like that outside the time period before the accident I guess (you know how much memory is need for datalogging?!?!)

Oh and so I not off topic, any hint to how much the initial buyer discount will be??? (my guess 10% like the S2000 SC pre-orders???)

I do know that if you unplug the battery, you will need to drive for 15-30 minutes before the vehicle will pass smog. However I bet the stored data is aggregate and averaged. Swap out the charger, toodle around for 1/2 hour, and take the car in...

I just got off the phone with my honda dealer here in Iowa and they told me this:

"If you're going to put a supercharger kit on your car we are not authorized to install this kit. That being said there is a warranty issue under your powertrain warranty. Any major modification such as a supercharger being installed to a Honda Warrantied Vehicle will void your Powertrain warranty. However, if something goes wrong with your car that is not directly related to your modification we can have a Honda Rep look at your vehicle and make a final decision as to warranty repairs being done. All other basic warranties will still apply."

That being said I will probably be waiting till I put 36,000 miles on the car. I suppose I will do simple basic intake/exhaust and some springs for now (Too bad I dont have the money to buy another L15A and just S/C mine and if something goes wrong, spare engine )

The pre-order discount will be the same. 10% back when you pre-order. Pre-orders should begin soon!!

i really don't forsee any major issues with this kit, but even if i had the money, i'd probably still wait.

but since i don't have the money, i should hopefully have a plethora of examples and experience to access through this site!

i've got an extended warranty that pretty much covers EVERYTHING for a total of like 84k or something like that, but that will come sooner than it sounds, as i plan on keeping the car for awhile, and my wife and i have already put on 14k since mid august of last year.

What do you guys think I should do since my car has 1200 miles. Should I jump on this? Will my engine be ok handling extra power since its so new? I know it'll void warranty so I dont know what is the best thing to do in this case.

Also, Oscar,
I noticed that the high boost on the s2k is going for the same $ as the base kit for the s2k. Will the Fit kit be the same?

What mods will I need with a high boost other than full exhaust. Or can I run it on a completely stock fit?

Highboost will not be the same price as the base kit. The reason it is the same for the S2K is that the Kits are Identical minus the pulley for boost. However with the high boost on the s2k you need to upgrade your clutch so it does end up being more. The High boost for the fit will have hondata and bigger injectors which wont come with the base kit.

You dont need any mods for the high boost kit, you can run it with STOCK EVERYTHING.

Thanks Chris.

I was thinking about running it stock but of course modd the exhaust too. I want to get the High Boost but from your knowledge or at least because your an insider for us, can you throw an estimated time on the HighBst Kit because i'm thinking of getting the base but if the high is as soon to come i mightest well wait Also, if I decided to go with the base will I be able to upgrade for the difference in price of the highbst to the base kit? Thanks again Chris.

Like Chris said, the S2000 Base and High-Boost kits use the same Hondata reflash and injectors, so we were unable to lower the cost of the base kits. The High-Boost kits require a clutch upgrade, because we have easily doubled the torque. The S2000 stock clutch looks like it is a Fit clutch!

The Fit Base kit will be cheaper than the High-Boost kit. The High-Boost will be using Hondata reflash and injectors, while the Base kit uses the SuperCard.

The High-Boost kit can be used on a completely stock car. In fact, that might be more fun! Then that poor stock S2000 wouldn't know what hit him.

I expect the High-Boost kit to be released sometime late Spring. There will be an easy upgrade package for Base kit owners to High-Boost. Pricing has not been finalized.

But how about I release this Base kit first!

Loving the new smilies! This has been me the last few weeks-

I was just wondering if its nessary to get header and exhaust combo with the blower??? i just really don't like how exhaust sounds on a non turbo car. If it will greatly affect performance I'll deal with it though!

Also I was wondering if the kits piping are powder coated black like in the pics?
